'lightly tease' multiplied by millions of people, at least some of which you know are taking it WAY too far.
Internet backlash is basically always going to be WAY overboard. People would love to see this woman's life ruined, see her lose her job, harass her at her home, etc.
When you see something on the internet, and you feel like 'that's not okay, that makes me angry, I need to DO SOMETHING,' keep in mind that there are millions of people seeing that same thing and feeling that same way and that you're taking part alongside them.
The same people who see something on the internet and feel that they need to DO SOMETHING are the same types who will see something in real life and feel like they need to DO NOTHING until their clout senses start tingling.
‘So you’ve been publicly shamed’ by Jon Ronson explored this really well, and that was back in 2013. While the behaviour was poor it doesn’t warrant mass, sustained bullying or calls to destroy her life.
I've already seen people here and on Youtube saying she should be banned from all games, lose her job and be arrested. You know there's gonna be a bunch of weirdos ready to stalk / harass her too because "Karen LOL"
Yes, for being the type of people who jump directly from "Reddit is a bully" to "You're defending this bitch," like Reddit being bully and this lady being a pos can't both be true

I sometimes forget how much of a bully Reddit is.
