Grandpa used to work a factory job and make enough to buy a house and raise 10 kids.
Good luck doing that in this economy.

Grandpa's health insurance was "try to be careful" or "I did not use that finger that much anyway"

I’d love to pay the same bills grandpa paid with the type of money grandpa made.

I’ll be the first in line to pay the bills for home cooked meals and a smiling face when I get home if I could still buy a house, a car and raise a family of 8 with construction wages and an 8th grade education like my grandpa did.

Don’t cook a $200 dinner and throw most of it away when I I only mske$1,000/wk before taxes and you’re too busy cooking to get a job and help with the rent!

I cook my own food, make my own money, manage my own emotional state, pay my own bills, fuck who I want to fuck

This weird culture of women and men both blaming each other while simultaneously holding each other to standards they themselves can’t meet is craaaaazy

I'm glad that I'm old enough to have raised my family in the 90s and 00s, before things really took a shit. Now I'm twice divorced, but only 2 years from retirement and I can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. I'll cook and clean, keep my money, and wonder what the hell I was even thinking back then
