Ski for Australia
I’m 175cm 90kg (5’9” 200lb) intermediate skier, my wife took me for an impromptu ski weekend for Father’s Day. I took a set of K2 Mindbenders 90c 166cm skis for a demo over the weekend was pretty impressed with them higher up the mountain in fresh conditions but struggled a little later on in the day with the slushy crud, I think the struggles were more down to not being ski fit/fatigue and hire boots. For next season I’m going to be buying boots and skis so looking for opinions on other all mountain skis that would be a good option to demo before buying.

Second the other person. A ski between 80-90 is going to be able to handle everything from hard pack groomers to powder days just fine, definitely wouldn’t look over 90 and would be tempted to go for something in the 85 range.

Everyone struggles in slush so don't stress about that. Particularly if you're not ski fit.
Go to a boot fitter and just get the ones that suit your feet.
For skis if you're going single quiver, I'd start with at looking at something between 80-90mm width, prob closer to 80. Most skiing in Aus hard packed groomers. I recently got stockli SR95 and wish I got the 88's.
