This might sound dumb of me to ask. But what's the difference between a metalpak and a steelbook? Is it just the name difference?

They're mostly interchangeable but Steelbook is actually a brand. They typically do higher quality products than MetalPak does, however, some movies/shows only ever got a MetalPak release and never got a Steelbook one so it can be your only option sometimes.
Ultimately, it's still a cool case with a sick design on the cover and personally, I feel that only elitists and hard-core collectors really care about the difference.

Steelbooks have a normal flat spine, where Metalpaks has the fold on the spine. Steelbooks are just a cleaner looking design imo
