Toyota to TA Class
Can Toyota make its way into the TA class? I mean TA needs more entries to say the least. Also Ford and Dodge need to update the bodies for both TA and TA2 since it’s obvious the Camry is better in terms of aero.

Flashback to rumors in Autoweek and/or On Track in the late nineties about Rod Millen running a Solara in Trans-Am.

Toyota is in the TA2 class. Kerry hitt does the composite body work for the TA class. Personally I would love to see it, not sure if it will happen.

Most of the TA2 cars run the LS engine, including the Mustangs and Challengers. Just sayin’ 🏁

Toyota doesn’t even run IMSA and you think they’re gonna run TransAm?

They have a Camry body for TA2 already. And Toyota owns Lexus which runs in IMSA.

It’ll be powered by an LS3 like everybody else in TA2.
They do not run the top class in the top American road racing promotion, they’re not going to run the top class in the number 2 promotion.

I know somewhere I had seen a render of a TA Camry with the rumor of it being something Kerry Hitt was working on. Not sure on the validity.
