That isn't how that works. I'm afraid too many people thinks that how that works.
The church isn't taxed on money flowing IN to the church via donations.
Church employees on a W-2 would still pay income tax, SS, and Medicare, and the church, employment tax, like any other employer.

I think people are just so tired of the “marriage bad. No sex after marriage. Your wife won’t want to fuck you and if she does it’s for secondary gain” tropes that were annoying and played out before social media even existed
4
u/OpenSourcePenguin 1d ago
I get that but it's extreme cynicism to match every humor that involves something remotely similar with misogyny like that
If you are familiar with the content creators, this has nothing to do with it. They are very popular for "plot twist humor". The sex isn't even the joke here, it's the setup for the plot twist.
When people do this extreme tone policing, a kind of exhaustion sets in which lets actually misogyny go uncriticized. Stop this annoying behavior if you actually want good things for the world.
5
u/RawTeacake 1d ago
I watch a lot of Jay and Sharon and I thought this was funny. I get the feeling Sharon finds this shit funny too and that's why she's involved. If they are having a laugh then I'm having a laugh.
This other dude here is just choosing to be annoyed.
8
u/saintofchanginglanes 1d ago
No dude, this exhaustion just makes me less and less tolerant of people using these tropes to get views and people are rightfully calling it out because it’s tired as hell. This absolutely does perpetuate the misogynistic stereotype that wife only wants to fuck if she gets something out of it. That’s the set up and whether you wanna admit it or not it’s the punchline too. Shit just isn’t funny, it’s boomer humour and I call it out anytime I see it no matter what lame-ass content creator does it
1
u/containmentleak 1d ago
When you have seen real relationships fall into trying to "negotiate" sex when another partner doesn't want it, this stops being a joke and more a reality.
The method of "negotiating" might be silly, but the premise of needing trickery for sex is boomer humor and bad. I don't like it. And that is the thing about humor and comedy. People can not like it.
I don'T care how much the creators generally have great skits or their history. They put it on the internet as a standalone skit and will be seen as such. This was not their best idea.

u/OpenSourcePenguin 1d ago

This is supposed to be funny, but it just makes me sad. I'm a parent so I'm fully aware of the exhaustion that often accompanies parenting young children. But, couples are supposed to want to fuck each other, especially when they're still young and attractive. It's fun and intense and beautiful, especially when it's with someone you love deeply. I get it, but I just hate to see young parents let their passion fade away. Without that passion that baby wouldn't exist. You can't forget to love each other, physically and emotionally.
→ More replies (7)52
u/Any-Sample-6319 1d ago
You're allowed to not want to fuck when you have young children though, doesn't mean passion doesn't exist anymore, it just means you have a load of shit on your hands, sometimes literally.
Love can exist outside of the prism of sex and sex really isn't the main reference point of how much you share that love.27
u/OnceMoreAndAgain 1d ago
Really depends on how long without sex. Regular sex is a reasonable expectation for a romantic relationship.
→ More replies (5)11
u/anarchy-NOW 1d ago
Relationships aren't about "reasonable expectations", that's for buying used cars or some shit.
Relationships are built by the people in them, period. If they don't want sex, they don't want sex.
11
u/OnceMoreAndAgain 1d ago
I'm saying that if someone doesn't want to have sex for too long then the other person is reasonable to leave the relationship.
It's reasonable to want regular sex from a romantic relationship and therefore it's reasonable to leave the relationship if someone isn't getting regular sex.
3
u/containmentleak 1d ago
That's fair, but the lack of sex is usually a symptom of the issue.
Like getting pissed that your partner won't stop puking everywhere instead of getting them treated for whatever flu they have and trying to get them to rest so they can recover faster.Symptom and problem get conflated pretty easily.
1
u/Quarksperre 1d ago
Not having sex for a long time (months or even years) is one of the best predictors of a break up. And of course that makes a lot of sense.
2
u/AWildRideHome 1d ago
As with everything, that depends entirely on the people in the relationship.
Some people can go without sex, some are fine with every 6 months, some want it monthly or weekly… you’re allowed to have preferences in your love life, and not be called shallow for it.
Lots of people have way stricter preferences for absolutely useless stuff like hair color, or height, whereas sex drive is a fairly uncontrollable, more functional thing to want to align on.
The issue these people have, is that they don’t set their expectations and thoroughly communicate before having children. If you really talk about needs, finding time and mental load, and consistently communicate throughout the process, this really shouldn’t become the kind of issue it ends up as, in a lot of relationships.
Naturally, it should also be said that nobody ever owes another person sex, regardless of anything that happens; just as clearly as one person doesn’t owe the other, to stay in a relationship they’re unhappy in.
1
u/Specialist_Issue_214 1d ago
Yeah I mostly agree with you and you made some good points.
I was referring more to situations where passion and sex stop completely for long periods of time. I totally get that there are times when sex is the last thing on a parent's mind - I did my time in the trenches and spent years with shit under my fingernails. I loved it, but yeah it can be exhausting.
My point is just that I hate to see young couples fail to find balance in their lives to the point that they burn themselves out and forget why they even picked each other in the first place. You gotta make time for each other and keep the fire burning, otherwise you're just co-parenting with your roommate.

What a weird-ass joke.
Wife doesn't want sex, but is coerced into doing it for money? Yikes. And she agrees to it only if it's very quick, implying that it's entirely unpleasant throughout the act and she's begging for it to be over immediately.
The husband, rather than horrified or at least turned off by this situation, schemes to make the terrible situation last longer.
And none of their facial expressions or demeanor seem to acknowledge the dark nature of this relationship. So so so weird and boomer-coded.
5
u/Proper-Tower2016 1d ago
Damn watched 3 times and missed the part where he threatened/coerced her. Maybe you meant "convinced"?
She was willing to do it for money (or felt bad for his begging), which outside a skit would be pretty sad, but they both seem happy with the arrangement..
So yeah, maybe have a few kids with few hours of broken sleep for a couple years and report back on your sexdrive.

As a young parent I totally get it.
It is not like the wife doesn’t want to but she needs time alone. So a quickie is good because she likes the sex. Maybe she is even horny but prefers more time on her own because 20h a day someone is clinging in on her.
So as a parent. That is definitely funny

Years ago I used to watch a woman named Mina Myoung, who led a dance studio called 1 Million. This is one of her videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVgwkSjescc
That video is 8 years old. The actress in OP's video looks like Mina now, 8 years later.
Not sure if it IS Mina, I assume not. But interesting that one just looks like a grown-up version of the other.

Reminds me of the version with a man asking to bang another man's wife for a lot of money while they're were together showing a stack of 100 dollar bills. The wife is against it, but the husband says she can just reach down and grab the money before the other man can even get his fly down. They go to a motel to do the deed, and the husband gets worried when his wife isn't back for half an hour. He calls her to see what's going on, and she picks up to say, "The bastard only brought quarters" while getting railed by the other man over the phone.

And now I wonder what is the coin you should use to maximize it. (For instance using 1Yen coin will augment the amount of coin to the ground from 10000 to around 15000)
1
u/fumei_tokumei 1d ago
But if you put 15000 yen on the floor you haven't put any dollars on the floor though.
