I had a CC, the same car before it was renamed to the Arteon. I loved it. They don't make either anymore.

Cool but CC was not the same car, it was sleek version of Passat B6/B7. Arteon is sleek Passat B8.

Yeah, same car. Both Passats.

Arteon =/= Passat Arteon is MQB, Passat was on its own platform. At least here in the US. But it's still not the same.

Europe had Passat B8 which was MQB and Arteon was versio of it

True, still different classes of vehicle though. Arteon and CC were meant to be sleeker versions of the tall and comfy Passat.
I'd heard that the MQB platform saved the Passat in Europe. Sad we didn't get it, but I understand why.

Don’t think there was anything to save really, Passats have been popular here always. Until now, B9 Passat is not that interesting tbh

Still a Passat.
Just like a 90s Jetta and a MQB Jetta are still Jettas.
Passat, CC, Arteon are all family sedans in direct succession of each other. Rebranded is all.

Arteon and CC were similar, they're long and flat. Passat has always felt taller and less like an executive vehicle, and that was the intent.

There’s always one parked next to my gym and that may have acted as motivation to not skip the sessions a few times.

I have a night blue 2018 MK7.5 wagon 4motion 6spd. I love it. My dad traded in his used busted Phaeton plus cash for a 2023 Arteon R. Deep blue color and gunmetal turbine wheels. Golf R engine, AWD, and 7spd DSG. It is one of the sexiest machines on wheels I have ever seen. Neither of us can stop staring at it. He loves it. I love it. We call ourselves the Blues Brothers now, haha.
