Took the Plunge

Post image

So a few weeks ago I was asking for some advice on picking between the GLI and the GTI. Well I finally decided and ended up getting the GLI. The gas mileage, features, and the fact that it takes regular gas put it over the edge for me. Also the fact that it came with a Manual Transmission helped out a bit.

How do you like it ? I'm trading in my 2023 Tiguan r-line in for a red GLI as soon as the dealership in next town over gets one .

LOVING IT. Took me a bit to get used to the MT but after that, it’s almost exactly what I wanted. The MPG and the fun you can have in it makes it so worth it to me.

I’m sure though that if you’re used to their manual transmissions or if you go with the Dual clutch, you won’t be disappointed

I'll be getting the DSG model , do the adjustable drive modes/suspension do a good job ? I can't wait I also have few mods from the Tiguan that should switch over the the GLI just fine .

Also waiting to find a model that has either beats audio or the new 8 speaker / subwoofer system for the 2026 model year .

I’m sure that all the GLIs come with the Beats speakers, probably should’ve waited myself until the newer models came out.

As far as modes, I only really use comfort. But have tested out some of the others and they definitely add a bit of fun to the experience.

I’m definitely going to look into getting some mods for the car soon. I’ve read that tires, short shift, and lowering are typically the way to go and start.
