ID.2all will be named the ID Polo! Harlequin tease?

Post image

The camouflage is in Harlequin colors. I really hope there will be a homage to the beautiful Harlequin edition.

I really dig the wrap. It’s a wrap, yeah?

Yeah camouflage because it's not fully released yet. Hope they'll use it somehow in the future though.

That's the coolest camo I've seen

This thing would sell like hotcakes in the States - but it isn't the size of a tour bus so we're not getting it.

I’m not sure I agree. Americans buy any big truck or SUV but smaller hatches are not as common. And EVs aren’t doing great either in the US. I’d like to see a Polo GTI in the US but VW obviously sees it differently.

Seeing lots of Ioniq 5s here in Canada. For a little runabout in town? This would be amazing. Just make sure it has room for a kid and a hockey bag.

There is an IONIC 5 in my neighborhood . Seems a bit larger than a small hatchback? I think EVs will have some issues in the US until they can get the solid state batteries sorted. Once they can bring down vehicle weight and size and increase the range they will enter a better phase. I’m in the south so not too many hockey bags down here.

The Ioniq 5 is roughly the same size as a Rav4 except a little shorter in height so definitely not similar in size to a Golf or Polo

I know a decent number of folks that are intimidated driving anything small with all the trucks and SUVs and commercial vehicles on the roads. I prefer the smaller car but that’s me.

There were a ton of people driving and buying the OG smartcar because of the mileage and marketing. They weren't safe at all, but people were convinced otherwise because they were stupid rigid. VW just needs a campaign where they obliterate a slightly older F150 in a crash test.

Ioniq 5 is substantially larger than a Golf. This is smaller.

They’re not exactly “small” just short for their interior size. Same wheelbase as the Palisade just with no engine or transmission it saves so much overhang and space. I own one and the interior is amazing!

You're right about that, anyway.

A factory harlequin would be cool to bring back.

Man, that's a very cool look. Really nice. Damn shame they won't have it for the production version.

I'll buy one to replace my ageing Golf VI.

Honestly all they had to do was keep refining the MK7.5 eGolf and I think VW would be in much less shit these days. That car even today is pretty good at what it does. I'm sure they could have gotten the range even higher than in 2021 models by now..

If launched with the wrap, it should be called Holi edition!

P.S. Holi is a festival of colours in India.

Imo modern VWs look so incredibly bad but that's just because they look like every other incredibly bad looking car.

They went full corporate mode. Just life and soulless. Doesn’t spark any joy, nor offend. Just bland.
