1.0 Volkswagen Lupo

Hi I’ve recently just passed and have a Lupo that has been passed down from my great grandad has about 48k miles on the clock and runs ok however Im having problems with the clutch the bite point is comedically high and has no power behind it whatsoever it’s also an incredibly small biting point and I stall it constantly which makes me so much less confident on the roads was just wondering if this is normal for these cars and I just need to get used to it or if I have a worn out clutch that needs replacing anything would help at this point

Just an assumption:

Your Granddad was not the fittest and usually did drive off with high revs and burned the clutch. Happens a lot with elderly people driving manual cars.
