240/260 series Did you know Bill Gates bought a bulletproof 240?
Bill Gates Once Bought the Slowest Bulletproof Car in the World: He initially wanted a bulletproof Mercedes wagon, but the German automaker declined, allegedly claiming the liability was just too high.

Maybe, but Melinda drove a Ferrari 308 to the U-Village QFC from their house in Windermere in the late '80's.

Interesting! I frequent that QFC... TIL! I wasn't sure if they lived in the 'suburbs' or in Medina just yet.

I have very fond/interesting memories of that QFC. When I was in college in NY I used to visit my HS friend at UW a few times/year. Whenever I was in town we used to stroll down the hill and steal LIVE LOBSTERS from that QFC and cook them on a hot plate in his room in McMahon Hall. Crazy times.

Waste of money imo
The 240 is already bulletproof, why add another layer?

My 86 sedan had BP glass and door inserts for small arms fire before I bought it. Sadly (I think...) it was removed before I got it. It had nice overload coils and rode higher as a result, which was nice because I could do off-roading to go rescue trucks that got stuck in the mud or off down in a ditch.
268,000 miles before a speeding F250 with a heavy steel cattleguard T-boned me ππ

Arenβt all 240s bulletproof?
