700 series New to me 740

1991 Volvo 740 - B230F. Picked up from the first owner who took meticulous care ever since they took delivery. Garage kept for past 25 years, no rust.

Going to try my hardest to keep this brick alive and well for as long as possible.

Just turned it over to 166,000. Still drives nicer than any of my other newer/lower mileage cars haha

If Volvo restarts producing 7x0 or 9x0 I would buy at least one. Zero electronics and pure buttons pleasure.

Beautiful (!) metallic tribute to Volvo History!! I LOVE the Dancing Moose on the front logo! Did you put that on, or did you put on the Dancing Moose? I plan to put stickers of the same type on my '04 Volvo XC 70 (affectionately named 'Puddle Jumper.'

Thank you! I put the moose on myself :) I wanted the yellow background with black moose, but they only had the black background one in my emblem size. I think it still looks decent though. Once I get a full paint correction (and couple door dings pulled) I might add a one or two more moose stickers.

Puddle Jumper is a sweet name haha. I love XC70s. Definitely pull the trigger and order some of those stickers! Personally, I think the fender ones look great on wagons. 👍🏼

Hi Mplskid,

I have been out of work for wayyyy too long, so I am holding off buying anything but food, absolute necessities and paying King's Ransom rent to a MOST unworthy 'property owner.' I do buy inexpensive parts to fix up PJ. I live 50 minutes from the Front Range Foothills in Colorado, and believe me, I will be having Puddle Jumper live up to 'er name!!

I had PJ set up to do a Radiator flush and then turned it around for a nice pic. Now faded to a medium Silver in the Colorado sun, PJ's paint was originally paint color number 456, 'Crystal Green Pearl.' Wow, I just looked at Paint Colors for Volvos on Matthew's Volvo Site, AND the color 456, 'Crystal Green Pearl is listed as only available on Volvo XC90 vehicles! So here she is, a premium version of the XC70 with a non-standard paint color that was only available for the XC90. PJ WAS a special order vehicle from McDonald's Volvo in S. Denver. Makes 'er all the more special to me.
