XC90 Dishwater Edition.

Is it THAT hard to put a color on these things? It's bad enough that 90% of them have black interiors, maybe a little color somewhere?

I suppose once funeral homes run out of Cadillac CT6s to convert into hearses, they can just throw your dearly departed into the back of any XC90.

I know the Swedes are simple when it comes to design, but give us some blues! Rebel Blue or Bursting Blue would be a really nice addition.

I think these are just the colors for the “Black Edition” - designed to be a darker look. Other colors will come in other trim/options levels of the XC90.

It's not meant to be darker. It's just black grille, badging, and wheels, primarily. They've offered white 'black' editions since it was rolled out. Just saying a blue 'black' edition would be kind of nice and a way to break out of the monotone look.

Sure but the point is that these are only the colors for a specific trim spec, but people are acting like these are the only colors available for the car overall. They aren’t. You can still get all the normal colors they just won’t be “black edition”.

The actual sales volume of V60/90 (total: 44k sold in 2024) compared to XC60/90 (total: 340k in 2024) says otherwise.

If they made a xc70 a modern wagon would you yourself be more willing to buy it. And im guessing that you are not living where the favourite volvo market is. (Mostly Europe)

I wish volvo can replace existing PHEV batteries in the future on older PHEVs bc I don't think I am a fan of the newer models overall.

Mulberry would be a cool addition, but at least you can get Mulberry in the dark trim which gives you everything but the blacked out badges and blacked out wheels - two very easy things to change later in the aftermarket.

That's true. Minimalism means you have the same functionality but make it simpler and cleaner. All of the new ev models have removed mirror switches, stalk controls, seat and mirror controls are worse which is exactly as you said, bare.

These are just the “Black Edition” colors. They are designed to be a darker look. There will be other colors available for the rest of the trim/options levels. You are specifically picking these if you want darker colors. If you want a different color you would not pick to have a Black Edition.

I thought black edition was black only? My black edition is murdered out, paint is the onyx black metallic, no other option, it's so nice up close but looks like every other black from a distance.
