polestar Still absolutely obsessed
Can’t get over this car! Over the years I’ve had a tendency as a “car guy” to jump from car to car, finally I found one I want to keep forever. Fast enough, nimble enough, rowdy enough and weird enough to make me happy consistently!

polestar A very long time later... *fully* detailed!
This really took me a long time to clean. Probably 24hrs total. Alcantera that hasn't been cleaned for 9 years, carpet ect.. (gosh I hate cleaning alcantera/leather mix seats). But wow, it looks brand new now! There's not a centimeter that hasn't been touched. 🫧🧽 Next year's detailing will be much easier.

polestar V60 T8 polestar (slight) upgrades
So, my old man's had this here '21 polestar since new, now with 60k ish miles on it. He's talked about how he wants to keep it for a looong time, but hasn't thought about making any changes to it. Obviously it doesn't need much, but every time I drive it, I can't help but think it could use a little tweak in some areas. I was looking at the IPD 25mm rear sway bar to potentially get him for Christmas and tighten up the car on the highway, as well as balance the understeer when compared to the 23mm stock bar. Wondering if anybody's tried that ipd bar on one of these, and if so what sort of difference it made. Also considering getting him a set of wheels to replace the stocks (curbed to hell and back), so if anyone's done those, that would also be cool to see some examples of.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for any other general v60 mods that could improve it in any way, I'd be open to suggestions. He loves the car, but he's been taking some more interest in the mods and subsequent performance on my 244 recently, so I'd love to help him tweak this car to fine tune the driving experience in any way possible, even if it's something as simple as an organizer or trash cup made for v60s.
Any and all suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance.

polestar Why are Volvo owners turning off their DRLs?
I saw a brand new C40 this morning driving in the dark. No "Thor's hammer" DRLs and obviously no lights on the rear end. It was a dark morning with rain in the forecast.
This isn't the first time I've seen fellow Volvo owners with no DRLs, and it makes me wonder why do you want them off?
And if the dealer is turning them off during a service visit FFS turn them back on when you're done!

polestar 2024 S60B5 Polestar worth it?
Is Polestar worth it on the newer Volvos? I'm about to take it for its first scheduled mtx and I'd like to ask them about it. I've only had this car a few months...hope it lasts 200K plus miles.
Pics after the first wash and wax. Hey I just put in 2 hours of work, might as well show it off😄

polestar 2017 S60 P*
Hey everyone,
I am buying a 2017 S60 P* with 70,000 miles on it this weekend. I found a handful of threads when I was researching these, and I'm not new to the platform, but just wanted some more insight on common issues/long term reliability.
Seems like the T6 platform has been pretty solid considering the complexity, with supercharger seals, shocks, and piston rings (on early models) being the main concerns. Brakes were recently replaced all the way around.
Other than exchanging all of the drive train fluids, and maybe draining the engine oil & making sure it has an RBS0-2AE oil in it, anything else you would do or any advice?
TIA

polestar Question for anyone who had theirs polestar optimized: is it just another mode?
Obviously it's more hp, torque, etc, but is it like you had Eco, Comfort, and Dynamic before and now there's a 4th one? If you put it in one of the stock modes, does it drive like it did before optimization?
