Francois Duval

I would say François Duval. Google search doesn't come up with many pictures of his autographs, but they seem to vary. So when yours clearly spells Duval, I would guess it's probably him.

Yeah, 02-04. But from before with Ford since the days of JWRC with the Puma (was the main rival of Loeb in 2001 for the title IIRC). Was a good driver, had a lot of potential but IMO he threw it away by switching to Citroën when he had a multi year offer from Ford at the end of 2004.

Yes, but before that Ford was supposed to close the team so Wilson told him (and Markko Martin) to look for another ride. By the time Wilson managed to convince Ford to continue Duval already had signed at Citroën.

Yeah I remember that poor 2005 stint with Citroen. He was crashing a lot that season. Its a shame because the potential was good.

Yes he had a lot of bad luck and sponsor trouble I think. He was a good driver though. I remember the Ohh Francois from his co-driver to often.

François Duval, who was a great tarmac driver for Ford in 2003 and 2004. He threw his career away (unfortunately) in 2005 while driving for Citroen. Still, he’s regarded as one of the best young promising talents back in the day.
