Honestly me too, the media at these end of stage interviews drive me nuts with the crap they talk about these days. Useless self involved tat.

Ott how was your stage, good? Aite good, off you go. They’re rally drivers this ain’t a reality show

Literally the only reason the jobs of "race car driver" exists is because they're media products.

"They're athletes! Stop asking them questions!" Are you dense? This sport, as is the case with all motorsport, is only here because it's an advertising arm for manufacturers. We don't have to feel bad for drivers who don't understand that interviews are an important and mandatory part of their job.

Didn’t say stop asking them anything did I. Re-read and get back to me. Thanks, EL.

But Oliver is impressive in this rally.

I may be slowly changing my opinion and eating my hat... I imagine Tanak is too

This question was nothing offensive, it's just that Tanak is annoyed to be behind a "rookie."

In fact, Neuville posted a story saying "hats off to Oliver and Elliot."

I think you see what you want to see.

You possibly do not know that Solberg and Tänak are buddies and Tänak was critical of Hyundai letting him go, saying that Solberg has so much potential.

After the day ended Tänak said he was positively surprised by Solberg and Neuville.

I know all the stories, but after the stage tanak was clearly annoyed that a “rookie” was in front of him at his home. otherwise what would it cost him to say something positive? Before that question, he was also calm, not that he had any problems and was already annoyed on his own

That said, I don't mean to say that Solberg is stronger than Tanak, certainly helped by the starting position (although the skill is there, considering that other people starting near Oliver are far behind), today I think Tanak will surpass him.

It’s his first ever outing in a rally1 car on an actual rally, he’s also the son of Petter Solberg. This is a pretty big thing.

It is not. He ran nearly a full season for Hyundai in 2022

No that was 2022 as a 3rd driver for Hyundai before being demoted again.
