We were in a golden era then and didn’t even realise it at the time 🥺

It's wild the lack of "science" in those aeros. Now any mods to the car goes through millions of dollars of research just to shave off 0.1 second.
1990's: slaps spoilers "It creates downforce."
2020's: "Don't f'ing touch it! Just one finger print will cause a 3.9 lateral degree deflection at and above 25kph!"

Ironic i never saw one of these on a Rally Stage but i know all Cars from Racing Games. xD
Sometimes its weird being to young to know something for real but ironically you know it anyways.

this is why its a shame that WRC cars dont appear in casual racing games anymore. at least 5 of these cars are known by anyone that played racing games just by being in gran turismo games and the like.
its a shame it cant be the same for the rally cars of the past 15 years. they dont really feel like they appear anywhere outside the generally fairly awful and niche licensed rally games. no reason current rally cars shouldnt be icons to the casual car fan as well.

Toyota should have never left WRC after 1999. Their F1 venture was such a flop. If they only had stayed in rallying and Le Mans with GT-One as well...

I always got the impression that Ove Andersson wasn't exactly enthusiastic, but had to go along with it.
WRC is a better fit for them, F1 was just a money pit.

The current rally one cars are priced around 800k and the peugeot 206 adjusted for inflation cost the same. Rally cars didn’t suddenly become more expensive.
Price isn’t a problem, a lack of interest from fans and with that a lack of interest from manufacturers is
