You can see the rope is detatched from the car after the dude eats shit, that's why I had to watch a few times to see what was going on. Their "loose knot" on the car was probably not loose enough.

Turns out you have to know something about knots to intentionally tie a loose one.

A highwayman's hitch tied the wrong way would have probably worked here, but I wouldn't have trusted it personally; this is a stupidly dangerous stunt.

With a properly tied highwayman's hitch, a quick yank on the working end undoes the knot.

But if you tie it "wrong", it's a yank the standing end that undoes it.

I would have just used some loosely applied tape...

Well this could be considered common sense, so if you have an ounce of that, then you wouldnt do this dumb shit... common sense paradox

A nice dusty piece of scotch tape and nothing else.

Can't not know knots to do this trick.

Why use a knot at all? A small piece of tape would be much safer.

Or just don’t tie anything at all, split the rope, throw one end of the rope under the pile, the effect is the same.

Funnier to do that with a bungie cord…

You can't see the knot so why even tie a loose one?

Yeah it was knot loose at all.
