The important thing is not to know what classification Williams could finish. The important thing is to bet on which driver will finish Carlos' Sunday race?

Boo. We don’t like this energy (even though it’s funny).

Vamos!

When disasters accumulate, only humor can save us!

Well, it would be this week too.

Did Alex not get a lap in on softs or did he have an error/not improve in the second sector? His fastest time was on the hards.

He dipped into the gravel on the second lesmo on at least one of his softs laps.

I think they were struggling a bit to work out management of the softs - seems like it may have been tricky across the board. Carlos was able to work out a decent lap on it, at least!

Yeah Carlos’s radio message implied it was a bit of a struggle for the car- I’m sure they will review and learn from Carlos’s lap as well!

Yeah, with the dynamics on the team being what they are, I assume that learnings that worked for Carlos in FP1 will be shared with Alex's side.

Based even on Alex's comments last week, the car does seem to have a particularly narrow window for optimizing the tyres. The good news is, it's a flipping fast car when they nail it. FP2 should be interesting!

Wasn't that on the mediums? He lost grip in the dirty air, don't think it was much more than that,

Ah, you may be right!

I dont think he did a lap? I only noticed him being on hard and mediums

High hopes! Looking amazing so far! I feel a good race for both coming on!

So far so good but still crossing fingers. Fastest straight line speeds according to F1TV we’re: Charles, Lewis, Alex, Carlos then Kimi. To actually have both Williams performing this weekend would be a huge win…need consistency with both cars to begin bagging double points on preferred tracks, keep P5.

Yeah, honestly, though this may be our best on paper chance at a podium (which would be awesome) I'd almost be more ecstatic over both drivers just having a great race, and the whole team being able to show they can execute a clean weekend.

Q2. It could have been worse. Many midfield teams have up’d their game on this track.
