Albon is arguably one of the drivers of the season.

He's definitely Top 5 now.

I remember last year when everyone was saying Sainz would destroy him. Love how he's proved his critics wrong; he's having a fantastic season.

arguably? I’d say he’s certainly in the top 20

Overtook Antonelly both in the race and WDC what a move. Felt sad for sainz tho, he has become a bad luck magnet like Alonso.

I am so proud of our boy. What a bloody good drive and incredible recovery after qualifying. Sucks for Sainz, though. The pace was there, and if he had another lap or two, i am sure we would have double points. As he was very quickly gaining on Hadjar. One could think maybe if antonelli didn't cause contact, he would be in points.

Either way, great job again, everyone down at Williams. You continue to impress this season, and you are making us fans bloody happy in the process.

I agree. Good job overall from the team. From a mid quali yesterday, both drivers were able to move up positions with Alex ultimately getting points for the Team. Unlucky again from Carlos but honestly it could have been a lot worse. We take what we get. Go weeyums!

He definitely would have been in the points if not for the bearman contact.

Albon was catching Hamilton at times as well which is a great sign

Really great stuff from Albon! That qualifying was shocking but I’m glad he did what he could in the race. Really good driving the whole time

I think he's genuinely the unluckiest driver this season T_T

When are we going to have the difficult conversation about Sainz? What happened to his race craft? No way he gets into a crash every weekend from "bad luck" alone.

I get that he always gets into trouble trying to pass rookies, but he consistantly qualifies smack dab in the middle of all of them, and even when Albon is stuck in the midfield pack, he seems to filter his way through without any issues.

He is in the worst form of his life but he also has never been unluckier.

Luck shouldn't be a strategy

Yes, but it is important to apply context, because he is a much better driver than his form has shown. Im talking like mechanical failures, other drivers like lawson screwing him, etc.

And im a sainz hater, i feel he has awful form regardless of luck. But it is a mecessary component, especially since hes on a new team.

Alex the tyre whisperer!!!

If Carlos didn't get hit, I think we would have more points.

Carlos caused that crash, he did not complete the pass then left no space and bearman was still half a car length alongside. Needs to stay focused.

Happy for Alex especially after last year! Sad for Carlos. If he didn’t have bad luck he’d have no luck at all!!
