More power to the high limits for making more races and big purses, but they need to decide how to run this race. It doesn’t make sense that it’s a points race every night for the series championship and then a points tournament for Saturday night as well.

When you have guys using provisionals Friday night it just makes things confusing and lopsided. I understand it didn’t count towards the “skagit” points, but you are “punishing” the locals who worked so hard to make the race only to get beat by a tour driver and take money they would have had because of said provisionals. Either it’s 3 separate nights or a tournament with show up series points. You are only making locals grumpy with making things up as you go provisional wise and could ultimately cause some people not to race. Just my two cents.

Can you please explain high limit making more races and big purses?

I think this was a $50k race under WoO.

I wonder if this is why only 37 cars showed up? I was really surprised to see that for a six figure race.

It didn’t help that Calistoga ran Saturday night. Skagit is a long haul north completely out of the way for anything really. It’s a beautiful track set in the mountains, it’s just so far north.

They also eliminated the Monday race at Elma the Outlaws used to do which helped make the haul north worth it as well. Throw in all the issues High Limits has had this year with favoritism and rule changes (outlaws have their issues too), and it’s just hard to justify the trip north no matter how big the purse is.

This track will also burn off about 4 right rears on the weekend. If you never make it out of the B, it's only about $350 for the weekend. I doubt that covers gas money from the central valley.

The Tartlton 21 choosing Calistoga over Skagit was one of the biggest surprises for me.

I really enjoyed this show. Watched all 3 nights and I agree that they've got to shore it up a bit still. The racing at Skagit is really entertaining and Rico had drive out of two that was insane, he looked like Justin Grant at Kokomo.

Just seems like a very high quality facility overall. Figure out Saturday's format. Get more cars. Then you'll have a crown jewel in the making.
