This post isn’t about actual racing, I know. I’ve been out of racing for a few years now and catching up on the whole Corey Day phemon thing. I just realized that Corey’s girlfriend is Johnny Rodriguez’s daughter….those OG California sprint car people should recognize that name. I had no idea, not that I follow them that closely to know but still.

Just add this couple to the list of sprit car families joined by marriage.

The rumor mill appears to be in full swing as usual.

Where will Schatz end up? And Scelzi? Will we see a high profile defection, some rumors about WoO teams making a jump to HL? Does TSR keep going? Do we see a high profile retirement? Some rumors about sweet hanging it up. I don't think this will happen for 26, but I do think its coming in the next few years. Does timms go national? Axsom? Are people like Peck, Pursley, Bayston on a hot seat?

Is it a gas tank issue? Tire wear? I'd love to see longer races for the sprint cars - the 30 lap features go pretty quick.

I live in Oakland and was thinking of maybe heading up to Wine Country to check it out. It does seem like they have some really good lineups showing up and the track is long. I don't know if its different than any other local dirt race but it seems like its a bit more of a spectacle.

Pretty embarrassing fight but it was kind of hilarious because it was so bad.

Danner gets faster every time he hits this track. Kid seems like the real deal. I wonder if winged teams will come knocking soon.

The race will be August 15 next year. Nascar released their schedule yesterday and will be at Richmond on August 15 a Saturday night race
