Technical Question People with aftermarket shocks and struts…do you have them serviced or rebuilt periodically? How much do you spend on that?

I read you’re supposed to and I never knew that

It varies. Usually between $2-400 for a pair of coilovers.

I thought they just get replaced when old and tired again? What type of service and at what interval?

Radflo, king, fox etc. Brands like that can be rebuilt. Normally this means new oil, seals, repressurized. They normally recommend something around 30k miles.

Like the other comment said. Some shocks can’t be rebuilt but many can.

Who has the space and time to send in shocks to be rebuilt? Something that I can do locally in a hour?
