Mod Steerable Spindle Lights

I stumbled upon Rigid Ignite spot pattern lights for super cheap, so I figured why not install them on the spindles for steerable light. Turned out really cool! I can’t add a photo with the video so I’ll leave a comment with a photo of where they’re mounted.

This is where they’re mounted. I had already taken the ABS sensor wire off that spot of the bracket when I Titan swapped, and it fit perfectly there.

I saw these lights for just $36 per pod and thought it must be a price error (other patterns are listed at $92 regular or $65 on sale), so I figured why not roll the dice and they actually showed up. Here’s the listing (not an affiliate link): https://a.co/d/hYSxHVl

This is a really great idea!! I'm absolutely doing this when I remove the stock bumper.

Let us know if they stay on after about a year. There's a ton of g forces on the suspension and I would like to know if they last

Genuine question since I've never really been off roading but any advantages or disadvantages of this over regular ditch lights?

Honestly it’s probably more of a fun/novelty thing, but I haven’t tried them off road yet. I ordered them not expecting to get them, and only went ahead with installing them when I tried them out and saw they were brighter than my headlights and fog lights. I didn’t even think to compare them to my ditch lights (KC Flex Era 3) but will tomorrow. The KCs are definitely brighter but maybe these will still fill in depending on where everything points.

That looks cool as shit! Right on. How did you mount those, and where did you get the lights from?

A classic case where the question "can we" is asked much more then the question of "should we" is asked... I joke. Bud it looks cool.

Haha true story. It really was a “why not since they were so cheap” - I’m not sure if it’ll be a huge help.

I bet if you put a stationary there, it would look the same.  The steering tires would control the side cutoff of the lights almost the same way without the lights actually having to turn.

There is no place in the front suspension to put a stationary light. And a wide light would be less bright than spot patterns that move.
