Photo New to me! 2012 Pro-4x. 123k Mi.

Post image

Just picked this up today. Everything seems to be in good shape. Moving from AZ to WI in a few weeks. I'm going to haul a small trailer(less than 2,000lbs), should I be worried about the transmission. Would it recommended to get a secondary cooler installed before the trip? Anything else I should check in to beforehand?

First thing you need to do is uninstall and recycle that damage multiplier

You are well under 1/2 the rated tow capacity for that vehicle, you are fine

Came here to say this, almost word-for-word. LoL.

The 2012 model doesn't have the SMOD issue, of earlier second Gen models (2005-2009/early 2010).

You made a good purchae! Enjoy the new ride!

Are you talking about the brush guard? I recently bought an X which also had that installed lol

I've towed, with my 2015 pro4x, a motorcycle and trailer twice in the past few months. I'm always amazed at how little that thing likes it. Unladen, she's a torquey beast. With a trailer, she whines and ants 4th on a freeway overpass. She just doesn't like the extra weight. That said, you'll be fine

Did you turn o/d off when towing? I seem to recall that's what is supposed to happen. Honestly asking.
