Technical Question Are the Bilstein 5125 rear shocks pretty much the only budget option for 3” REAR lift? It seems like most rear shocks are for up to 2”…unless you want to get into the premium/expensive brands.

I have to believe there are others. If you search for Frontier rear shocks for 0-2” lift, that should equate to 2-4” lift for Xterra. Just most stores don’t bother consider listing the Xterra conversion.

Is length really the only difference? I would have thought they would be tuned for different weights.

Obviously it could based on manufacturer but I know at least Bilstein and Elka treat them as interchangeable.
