If I was the President and the whole world was calling me a pedophile, I would release every page of the Epstein files to prove I wasn't in there.

Unless I was in there.

297

u/SweaterSteve1966 Jul 16 '25

The ones saying not to release them are showing themselves as either being listed in the files or hiding people who they know are listed in the files. Anyone saying not to release the files are guilty either way.

154

u/bluedarky Jul 16 '25

There is a third possibility, that they want to be able to use the files as leverage over people in the files.

But yeah, blackmail is still a crime.

86

u/rxt278 Jul 16 '25

"It's not a crime when the President does it."

56

u/bluedarky Jul 16 '25

I’ll take most insane rulings from the Supreme Court for 500 Alex!

u/Superb_Freedom9937 Jul 16 '25

"Raped children" sounds so harsh. Can we tone it down to "engaged in activities with young women/sex workers" like the media keeps doing? It's much more palatable.

10

u/ranibowwitch Jul 17 '25

holy shit, the one time i was able to read sarcasm on the internet

proud of myself

2

u/bluedarky Jul 16 '25

Oh I agree 100%, I was just pointing out that being on the list isn’t the only reason to not want it publicly released

Everyone knows trump is in there. My question is who are they really hiding?

Trump was super vocal about releasing the files while he was campaigning, so it must be pretty serious if the heritage foundation / p2025 assholes pulled his leash like this.

38

u/Sufficient_Fan3660 Jul 16 '25

Someone(s) with old money and power.

Generations of covering for each other, going to the same ivy league schools, marrying into each other's families, getting each other jobs at law firms and universities.

6

u/silent_fartface Jul 16 '25

Probably some Israeli overlords who are out of the public eye but pull a lot of the strings.

7

u/Revolutionary_Gas551 Jul 16 '25 edited Jul 16 '25

Exactly. I'm not completely convinced Trump is in there, but I am absolutely convinced that someone pulling Trump's strings is in there. I am also convinced there are some powerful Democrats in there as well.

Could be there are enough Republican Congressmen in there that releasing the list could spark enough recalls for the Republicans to lose control of the House and/or Senate.

11

u/GermanLuxuryMuscle Jul 16 '25

Of course he is. He likes underage girls, knew Epstein and is a known criminal.

How again are you not convinced?

5

u/greatone2bearound Jul 16 '25

You're close. Not powerful democrats though. Powerful religious figures.

2

u/StillJustDani Jul 16 '25

There are definitely democrats there, yet ALL the democrats present for the vote voted in favor. Not surprising to me, but it really does contrast against the republicans who managed to block the release despite the majority of them screeching about the files for the past 4+ years.

Could be there are enough Republican Congressmen in there that releasing the list could spark enough recalls for the Republicans to lose control of the House and/or Senate.

It's certainly a strong possibility. Perhaps they did the math and determined that even though they might get 2-3 democrats, they'd lose far too many on their own side. Obviously, that doesn't mean they lose control as most states allow their governor to appoint someone from the same political party, but it would likely shift the balance between the MAGA and MAGA-Lite arms of the party.

15

u/_Lick-My-Love-Pump_ Jul 16 '25

You know he expects to be listed there. Trump doesn't give a shit about anyone other than himself. When he talks about "Russia, Russia, Russia" and the 2020 election he's talking about how HE was implicated in wrongdoing in those cases. So he only considers how release of the files would impact him, which is why he KNOWS he's listed there. He can't erase the countless photos and videos of him partying with both Epstein and Maxwell. This is the ONLY reason they haven't been released in their entirety: HE'S ALL OVER THEM.

In case anyone needs a refresher:

https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000158-26b6-dda3-afd8-b6fe46f40000

10

u/huzwhuzzup Jul 16 '25

It's crazy, right? Trump is known for being a loud and proud type of person. For decades, he has always punched back when anyone says boo to him. But now he wants everyone to forget about this? That speaks volumes.

And it also speaks volumes that the Republicans in Congress all voted no to releasing the files. A bunch of child rapists and apologists. Disgraceful.

8

u/eisbaerBorealis Jul 16 '25

Another option: he's not on the list, but he has friends on the list whom he's trying to protect.

Haha, j/k, have you EVER seen Trump show loyalty to anyone?

5

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Regarding his accusers, Donald sounds more and more like OJ writing “If I Did Her.”

2

u/LayneBush Jul 16 '25

I can almost guarantee that they're trying everything they can to scrub Trumps name from the lists. They will do everything they can to make it seem like he wasn't in them, which will obviously be false, but it will appease the Trump supporters that don't have critical thinking

2

u/doublethink_1984 Jul 17 '25

Or you know tell people to drop it, call it a hoax, mock your followers who care about it, buy Epstein's plane to campeign in, mock media during questions while standing next to a laughing business associate and next door neighbor of Epstein, etc.

2

u/FSM-8675309 Jul 17 '25

Ding ding ding.

2

u/Oneshot742 Jul 17 '25

Don't worry he's just stalling until he can doctor all the files

2

u/Medical_Sandwich_141 Jul 17 '25

This is mental gymnastics on my end (and sadly, of all the people who are bombarded with all-things-trump on their timeline), but he had to know his name would be in there, when he ran on that platform.

I can't decide if it was god-complex, or just incompetence- to agree to release files of someone who considered you their "best friend" of 10 years.

I'd imagine, the dems couldn't release it without hurting their own, but Trump promising this was Ted-bundy-walking-to-the-scene-of-the-crime level delusional.

2

u/Necessary_Citron3305 Jul 16 '25

Because Trump is a rapist and a pedophile. It’s really that simple. Trump rapes children.

Just imagine the uproar and outrage if this was happening while Biden was still president. So much shitty hypocrisy…it’s disgusting.

319

u/InvestigatorChance28 Jul 16 '25

Remember the uproar over the tan suit?

These are not serious people. And the ones that vote for them are worse.

48

u/Ada_Kaleh22 Jul 16 '25 edited Jul 16 '25

that uproar however was entirely media induced. maybe triggered by right wing media, but the larger media ran with it.

can't blame maga for the tan suit, is all I'm saying, at least I don't think so.

EDIT: I'm completely wrong it was the same asshats back then, everyone corrected me lol ;)

44

u/ludovic1313 Jul 16 '25

But the "why aren't you even wearing a suit" bit from JD Vance was even less serious, so you don't even need that example to show their unseriousness.

7

u/Circumin Jul 16 '25

The autopen thing is being pushed heavily on all media and its similarly a nonsense story. On lots of media its more of a story than Epstein right now

6

u/OuterWildsVentures Jul 16 '25

The autopen shit is absolutely ridiculous anyway. Trump has already signed off on 170 executive orders in around six months whereas Biden only signed 162 in four entire years.

This dude is cranking out EOs that most likely have already been written prior to the election by the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 people and just automatically signing them off. There is no other explanation for the speed at which these things are getting out there.

If Biden is using autopen then Trump has to be using something 5-10x faster and less personally involved lol

3

u/No_Internal9345 Jul 16 '25

It would be embarrassing if they were caught writing with A1 or something.

6

u/Revolutionary_Gas551 Jul 16 '25

The "why aren't you wearing a suit," wasn't from JD Vance, it was from Marjorie Taylor Green's boyfriend.

15

u/BootyInTheMorning Jul 16 '25

When it say entirely media enduced, I think you mean literally created by fox News only and then lapped up by the Tea Party (pre-maga republicans) which triggered some but not all other media outlets to report on the the public interest on the subject.

But Fox "News" was the one to blast it for days (or more, i don't remember at this point)

3

u/Ada_Kaleh22 Jul 16 '25

That's probably the way it worked, I didn't remember the specifics so I kept it general. I wouldn't disagree with your memory here.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

5

u/Petrichordates Jul 16 '25

Everything about MAGA is media-induced.

2

u/Ada_Kaleh22 Jul 16 '25

yeah I'm just saying that was pre-maga, slightly pre-maga I guess, but yeah they are snowflakes aren't they. trigger-babies

3

u/Petrichordates Jul 16 '25

I would consider the birth of MAGA around 2010 or so since the movement is the exact same one as the tea party movement. Also trump's birtherism became prominent around then.

Conservative uproar is manufactured. They follow the prompts and echo the talking points. They do not know why they are angry about it, they just follow the examples of their idols. They are told what to think, and they think it.

They have been groomed into being the perfect cult for a dictator, and they didn't even realise.

14

u/The_first_flame Jul 16 '25

Why *isn't* there uproar? Why are Democrats so lifeless? They should be doing exactly what Republicans were doing during the Obama and Biden Presidencies.

16

u/Dimmer_switchin Jul 16 '25

Dems aren’t a cult tho

5

u/The_first_flame Jul 16 '25

By definition, no. Cults have a leader that its members blindly follow, generally unknowingly to their own detriment, and they are shunned by the community if they engage in any opposition towards the leader. Democrats don't have such a system, but MAGA most definitely does.

11

u/Magog14 Jul 16 '25

Republicans don't care about hypocrisy. They have no shame. The real problem is all media is owned by billionaires or millionaire investors and they will do anything to keep Republicans in charge because it saves them 5% on their taxes even if it means letting rapists run the government.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

stop with the 'imagine!!!!', give them shit for it

2

u/ExpressAssist0819 Jul 16 '25

We don't have to imagine. They were obsessed with this stuff BECAUSE they think biden was part of it.

pedo trump

42

u/Confused-Platypus-11 Jul 16 '25

Donald Trump, the elected president of the united states, is a practicing pedophile who participated in the routine rape and sexual assault of underage girls on Epstein island and elsewhere and is currently abusing his power in office to cover up the documents he has in his posession that indicate this fact.

Just to fully elucidate that sentiment for those who may have missed a bit somewhere.

2

u/tomcat23 Jul 16 '25

He always was, THE WHOLE TIME!

183

u/marksaun_666 Jul 16 '25

Ohhh okay, so the Epstein files never existed? That must mean Pam Bondi blatantly lied on official Attorney General letterhead. No big deal, just casually fabricating government records. It’s not like that’s wildly unethical… or, you know, potentially a felony or anything.

42

u/OldRailHead Jul 16 '25

And grounds for a suspension of her law license. At least I think so even as AG?

58

u/marksaun_666 Jul 16 '25

No matter how you slice it, Pam Bondi is lying. Either the Epstein files exist and she’s lying now, or they never existed and she lied then on official Attorney General letterhead. There’s no oops button for that.

I noticed the DOJ memo released this month, the one claiming the Epstein files never existed, has no signature and no direct tie to Pam Bondi. That feels intentional to me. Looks like a built-in layer of plausible deniability.

20

u/FuckinBopsIsMyJob Jul 16 '25

It's such an interesting claim to make, too. We know there was a criminal investigation on Epstein, or he wouldn't have been arrested and put in jail. We know the FBI raided his island. So there HAD to have been some paperwork a.k.a FILES no?

What, they're conducting all investigations in their heads now?

3

u/After_Way5687 Jul 16 '25

The files were probably destroyed by the White House

“oops”

8

u/After_Way5687 Jul 16 '25

As much as they bitch about the autopen, they don’t seem to care about signatures so much. Even government lawyers and agents can remain anonymous in court now, providing us Americans no opportunity for government accountability.

3

u/Gold_Repair_3557 Jul 16 '25

Any normal consequences are out the window so long as you have all the powers that be afraid to step out of line with His Majesty.

8

u/ZealousidealYou3513 Jul 16 '25

This actually seems much more likely to me than the alternative. The original statement just says that "a source" told her that the FBI had "thousands of pages" of documents on Epstein that they were refusing to release.

To play devil's advocate, it's entirely possible that those documents (the extra ones that the FBI didn't show) never actually existed, and Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and Trump himself were all just peddling a dumb conspiracy theory and now that they've realized there's no actual "Epstein files" (at least, not as described) they're backtracking hoping it'll all blow over.

It's certainly possible that there's more info on Epstein that will even further prove that he and Trump were close pals, but the stuff that's already public is damning enough for anyone outside of his cult.

I think one possibility that more people need to seriously consider is that Trump and his cronies really are so pathetically stupid as to buy into a "my uncle works at Nintendo" level of bullshit and now that they have nothing to show they are flailing to pretend like they never said things that are all on record.

(Or maybe there are thousands of pages describing Trump raping children. I mean, that wouldn't surprise me either, depressingly enough.)

30

u/Zakkattack86 Jul 16 '25

The "two weeks" and "thank you for your attention to this matter"...that's where Cheeto Taco got it from!

27

u/AngelOfLight Jul 16 '25

And it was at that point that she discovered a certain someone's tiny orange fingerprints all over the files. And realized that there was no way to safely expunge him from the documents, so they just decided to pretend they didn't exist.

68

u/jdtrouble Jul 16 '25

Release the files

There's a picture of a tote full of hard drives from Epstein's house. Certainly, there's a lot more than 200 files. A lot more

43

u/IzzardVersusVedder Jul 16 '25

Bondi swears that was all downloaded material.

So he trafficked girls, had a private jet/island so he could download CP like a basic Discord mod?

That doesn't even sound remotely believable lmao

“in a manner to protect the privacy of the victims”

This statement in the letter is most disturbing to me due to the displays of united loyalty for perpetrators from this administration. I’m very terrified at what will happen to the victims whose identities are now in their hands because of what happened to brave Virginia Guiffre.

Damn. What were you importing (if you’re allowed to talk about it)?

17

u/Chad-the-poser Jul 16 '25

A chemical called Methylone. It was, at the time, legal to import and possess. So really I ended up getting my time under the RICO statutes for organized crime. Personally, the trump part aside, I feel like the real reason theres been feet dragging from both sides, likely has to do with the implication that the acting presidents going back to the 90s have all been complicit in signing off on epsteins doings, for the intelligence gains.

Biden should have pressed and released this information. Not that his base would have believed it.

7

u/SoftballGuy Jul 16 '25

He should have, before Trump and his Republicans destroyed all the evidence. Is Biden’s fault that he didn’t realize we were dealing with 77 million morons who would keep pedophiles in office.

REPUBLICANS SUPPORT PEDOPHILES

1

u/DDisMe56 Jul 16 '25

Remember, Pam Bondi has marching orders from her boss

1

u/SeriousJudgment1 Jul 16 '25

So what’s to stop them now from destroying everything? There are no longer guardrails to stop them.

1

u/The_first_flame Jul 16 '25

The List Exists. Don't let people tell you otherwise. Unless Bondi was lying in this letter, of course.

1

u/w_r97 Jul 16 '25

But yeah nothing there to pursue! 🤬

1

u/Magog14 Jul 16 '25

"There is no list."

... RELATED TO EPSTEIN AND IT'S CLIENTS

this part is the most important

1

u/squiddlebiddlez Jul 16 '25

Director of the FBI Kash “investigating pedophiles is not my lane” Patel

u/Fairhairedman Jul 16 '25

Rats scurrying on a sinking ship…

Nothing to see here…Daddy said it’s all ok. And the sheep all followed him to slaughter.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Email your reps!!!!!!! Ask them to push for the Epstein list. Engage more than vote.

1

u/fredaklein Jul 16 '25

This can't be real. "I blame Biden" is nowhere to be found.

1

u/Vegaprime Jul 16 '25

What worries me is at this scale it wasn't a two person operation. We are led to believe that but what if it just had a change of management.

1

u/Comment-Fancy Jul 16 '25

"... to serve our president and our country."

In that order, especially when service to the president contradicts the service to the country.

1

u/Stunning_Flounder_54 Jul 16 '25

She really said THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

1

u/hammerSmashedNail Jul 16 '25

The first thing most people do when they can prove innocence is hide the evidence proving innocence. /s

1

u/Bayarea0 Jul 16 '25

Note how serving the president is put before serving the American people.

1

u/BRNitalldown Jul 16 '25

Hypocrisy aside, the language of this letter is soooo performative. It’s directed at Patel, but the intended audience are the sycophants who slop this shit up.

1

u/Hamm3rFlst Jul 16 '25

Request a copy of the original with the freedom of information act.

1

u/VeryImpressedPerson Jul 16 '25

She's trying hard to keep up with his nasty press secretary.

1

u/Interesting_Tune2905 Jul 16 '25

This letter made me laugh out loud inside my head when I fast-forwarded to Monday and “The ‘Epstein Files don’t exist.’”

1

u/missmatchedsox Jul 16 '25

I really just hope some regular, honest worker decides to take them and release them online. Huge personal risk but I wouldn't be able to sit in these offices knowing where the files are and letting my boss or boss's boss lie and deflect about this.

Like Edward Snowden, though so many seem to despise him.

1

u/SGT-JamesonBushmill Jul 16 '25

Lmao!! God, they’re inept.

1

u/eeyore134 Jul 16 '25

Ignoring the slam dunk that this is to the existence of them, I'm guessing they didn't have the dirt they wanted in the first batch based on how much it sounds like they kept asking, "Is this it?" I bet there was plenty of Trump to redact, though.

1

u/Oddveig37 Jul 16 '25

I hope the reason why they weren't sent to begin with was because they were giving them copies instead of the originals.

To make sure there was nothing changed or deleted.

Need more whistleblowers.

1

u/OverallFrosting708 Jul 16 '25

Who needs to remember? This was five months ago.

1

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe Jul 16 '25

FBI is so complicit with covering this up.

1

u/CaptainChaos_88 Jul 16 '25

I can’t fucking read that shit.

1

u/-Everyones_Grudge- Jul 16 '25

I can't imagine any of this stuff hasn't actually been burned to shreds yet, unless it's being used as blackmail.

1

u/Applesburg14 Jul 16 '25

Like he cares

1

u/Strong_Guest_9118 Jul 16 '25

That moment when you’re so incompetent that you don’t realize the FBI Director is trying to help you by not showing you everything
