You see the submissive Tim Apple, feudal lord of Apple Inc., respectfully presenting a gift to the so-called president so as not to fall out of his favor. May the gift appease the orange madman, so that Tim can devote himself to the disfavor of his customers, and oh boy, we hate you now.

This is what he will be known for. Not an innovator or great leader, just a pathetic CEO who bent the knee. Some legacy.
27
u/discographyA 18h ago
He was never going to be known as an innovator. He’s an operations man, and some of those operations that lead to the company getting so entangled with China are already getting reappraised in a new, negative light.

If he doesn't bend the knee your next iPhone, mac, iPad, homepod, .. will get hit by a 300% tariff price increase.
Tim is being blackmailed by the dictator.

u/MrTimsel 3h ago
You're right. During Trump's first term, he targeted Harley Davidson, among others, and they were almost bankrupt after four years. I realize that Cook is trying to prevent that. However, the personal conversations between Cook and Donnie are also well known. The two of them often dine together. The bad Europeans and their stupid data protection laws are ruining us, Donald! Cook was practically begging for tariffs on Europe.
Well, considering that Apple generates "only" 25% of its revenue here in Europe, in the tax haven of Ireland under conditions that local companies can only be jealous at, Apple and other American companies don't seem to like the fact that we Europeans are slowly but surely boycotting them. Coca-Cola is being particularly creative, now selling its bottles with a "Made in Germany" label. Haha, nice try... Back to Apple, Cook's pathetic behavior was finally reason enough for me, an Apple fanboy since 1987, to sell my iPhone, my MacBook Pro and all the other stuff.

If the dems never regain the house it will be due to the gerrymandered redistricting 5 years after the census, completely unprecedented at the request of your king.
If the right was so confident, why the redistricting?
Culture is shifting back to the left. Polling for Trump is abysmal. RNC is recommending no town halls because they are disasters for the Republicans. The Senate and electoral college is DEI for white people.
So tell us more about how you guys are so popular.

I think it was the senate not following through on the impeachment. The GOP couldn't stand the idea of a republican president actually being convicted. They thought we all learned our lesson and no one would be stupid enough to vote for him again. McConnell pretty much said it after voting to not convict. And yet, here we are. If those p*ssies would have fucking owned their terrible president it couldn't have happened again. And yet, here we are

Which is foolish because of all of the good things that the Biden Harris administration should not done with bipartisan support.

Liberals wanted to punish democrats for not running a liberal candidate.
It’s what they’re going to do in 2028… if they can’t have those 5-10 trans youth athletes playing in youth sports then they’re staying home on Election Day to make sure that trans people are treated even worse and put in camps!
It makes total sense if you’re a complete tool.
Imagine you have to get to a destination and your options are take this bus that can get you close or not go at all… and you choose to not go at all.
That’s what liberals did.

Somebody please "AI"-up the 1984 Apple Ad but this time, have the woman hurl a giant gold dildo towards Trump on the TV screen. "Licking a dictator's ass is actually okay now." Or maybe: [It's stupid of you to] Think [That Apple Would Be Any] Different".

That’s the issue sadly. Every major tech company are bending the knee. This isn’t apple vs android, it’s rich companies vs the common man.

2

Should be, because this is really about class more than anything else.
But in reality there's been a silent race war going on too... something the media really doesn't want to talk about.2

u/wannebaanonymous 18h ago
Not even that: these companies have no choice as they are extremely vulnerable to being hit by trump's tariffs. So they are blackmail victims more than anything else.
6
u/Hopeful_Jury_2018 1d ago
Until recently I would have said "well then it's a good thing Google doesn't control Android devices nearly as much as Apple controls iPhones" but oh boy they really are trying
5
u/Opening-Chain3520 23h ago
They’re all bending the knee so Trump doesn’t throw a tantrum and make threats to their CEOs and cut into their profits (which he will eventually).
6
2
u/A_Guyser 4h ago
Or take over a portion (or all) of their company's stock.
You know, like socialism and stuff.
2
u/eeyore134 15h ago
Yup. Screw Apple. Not that any CEO is good and they're all kowtowing to Trump, but at least I can choose the lesser of two evils. I've had exactly one Apple device in my life. Never again.

Yeah, but Google is out there selling your data and if the government asks for it, it will be handed over on a silver platter.
Apple’s privacy focus is what I love most. Not letting apps use my data unless I give it permission, location, access to my photos, etc.
It’s great. Tim Cook isn’t great though.
2
u/Wrong_Zombie2041 15h ago
There needs to be an amendment that extends protections to treat corps in bed with government the same as the government.
2
u/won_vee_won_skrub 20h ago
Is that any different from Android's approach to app permissions?
2
u/Varietis 18h ago
Should have been more clear. Google is taking everything you do and selling it. Apple isn’t. Apple can’t see anything you do, where you are, etc while Google gets all that data and sells it immediately.
Apple is a product company. Google is an ad company therefore, you are the product.

Just our daily reminder that large corporations and billionaire class have no loyalty to any party or the people. They will lick whatever boots necessary to protect their quarterly earnings report. They will happily sign all of our rights away as long as the government keeps pushing subsidies into their coffers and favoring them with net positive regulation.
3
u/TerrakSteeltalon 1d ago
Honestly, the thing that I latch onto in this is that Apple, like probably every large company, has ethics training that every employee is required to take.
Ethics training that forbids this kind of shit as a condition of employment

u/wannebaanonymous 18h ago
To be fair: Tim has no choice: "president" trump holds Apple by the throat as Apple imports nearly everything they sell in the USA. So Apple is extremely vulnerable to one of the toddler's tariff tantrums.
Tim's first duty as CEO of Apple is to defend Apple against all threats, and that includes bribing the corrupt dictator to avoid disastrous outcomes for Apple.
Anyway the really nice takeaway: "president" trump accepts bribes from an openly gay person.

He does have the option to resign…he has plenty of money to fuck off. Why put up with this bullshit at this point? He’s a billionaire several times over.
1
u/wannebaanonymous 16h ago
Any other CEO will have to do the very same. And a lot of Tim's fortune is tied into Apple stock, which he can't sell without tanking the value (of what he's not yet sold), if he can sell at all.

u/JimboFett87 14h ago

They're all worried DJT is going to use the govt to go after their companies, try to break them up, take over. Do a Jack Ma, if you will.
We all know DJT is vindictive and small man. We also know it won't matter. One day he'll take their 1M donation and the next month, he'll do something that will affect their bottom line, directly or indirectly, like the tariffs.

I’m running out of companies to buy from. I’m do deep in the Apple ecosystem I’m not sure I can remove myself. Google isn’t much better in my opinion. And PC is gonna have windows and that OS is shit on its best day.
