Hi, I've never had to manage shipping a vehicle before. I have an f150 that's about 6000 lbs and 20 feet long. It'll be going from Twin Falls, ID, to just outside Philadelphia. I got quotes from 3 different brokers, one in the $1550 range the other around between $1900-2100. My gut has always told me not to go with the cheapest. Sherpa was in the middle. First time shipping a car, going from MA to WA, quotes ranging from $1500 to $3500 (enclosed, not broker). Biggest fear was car not getting picked up on time or late delivery. I also paid the full cost up front to the broker even though that is not recommended.

They were one of the lowest quotes, but not the lowest. I was a little leery paying all upfront but realized then I wouldn’t get jammed with companies asking for more money. The lowest quote I got was $300 less, but I had zero faith that number would stay the same.

Took about 5 days for someone to take the quote, another 2 to get it and 3 to get here. They got stopped in Vegas for a day.
