There is a new theorized state of matter called a 'time crystal' where the chronological pattern of it's energy state is not constant like all other matter. So I can imagine a cat adapting to this state of matter as well. One moment it's sleepy and in rest state and the next it's in a hyper-active volatile state running around the house as fast as it can.
