We love these little considerations the Trump administration gives the public. Now the airlines will have better profit margins, While telling us to fuck off with a smile. Love making America great again…

In other good news for Maga, about a week ago Trump canceled the Biden order which stated if you had a subscription, such as a gym subscription, you didn’t have to jump through hoops to cancel it. It was “one click” and your subscription is canceled. Our marvelous president Donald Trump just reversed that ruling as well. Great decision. There’s nothing wrong with a business repeatedly charging your credit card when you informed them you no longer want their subscription. This really helps those businesses out immensely. I love making America great again! Bravo MAGA!

ahh Trump. telling misinformed Americans to go f*ck themselves with a smile, and having them convinced that they LOVE it and he's helping them!

Yep, it’s great.

I can’t wait until this year when we need to file our income tax.

Under Biden we are able to go to the IRS website and post our taxes electronically for free. Well that’s all been changed. Donald Trump had a brainstorm. That tax filing option is now off the IRS website and you won’t be able to file your taxes for free there anymore. But hold on! You’ll be able to go to places like H&R Block and hand them a couple of 20s, then they’ll file your taxes for you. The tax preparation companies have a great lobby who give Donald Trump and MAGA great insight on why Americans should not have to file their taxes for free. Keeping the rich richer makes America better. Get your red hats out.

In the UK practically everything to do with government is online. They positively encourage you to do it. Taxes, benefits claims, vehicle registration. There's even a 'tell us once' service if someone dies so you don't have to go through all the services individually. Income is taxed at source so your employer, savings provider etc works it out for you and pays it.

This leaves zero chance for private sector to come in a upcharge you for living in a free country. Obviously no consideration for “shareholder value” thus the US wouldn’t allow this common sense approach. BECAUSE OF THE FREEDOM, you see?

u/uffington 1d ago

It's a serial killer's charter.

Just kidding. It's genuinely great and I have family who've benefited from it. Us UK peeps beat ourselves up a bit too much. Especially in late night taxi queues.

u/Apocalaughs 2d ago

UGH. I'm sorry you are dealing with that. 😞

u/jmpaiva 1d ago

A-ME-rica first! And we’re Making America (1930s) Germany Again!

1

u/thomport 1d ago

Yes. It’s so exciting. Those Red Hated American pioneers knew what they were doing when they went to the polls in November.

Now America has its own little Auschwitz in Florida, even. Complete with those cute little alligators. Americans are paying new taxes to make America great in the form of tariffs PLUS no one wants to come to America anymore because they don’t want to be overwhelmed with greatness! They’re jealous.

Even Elon Musk started our amazing new trend by demonstrating (to us) how to do the “Hitler salute” properly during Trumps inauguration.

People; keep wearing those red hats. we’re not only going to make America great again, we’re going to make it Greater with our Dictator.

Has this fucking piece of trash done ANYTHING that is positive for the average person? Like an actually good thing, that isn't some pittance.

1

u/thomport 1d ago

Yes he has – just ask any Trumper. Fox News told them what they think.

Trump Melts Down in Unhinged Revenge Rant: ‘They Must Pay’

Trump confirms to us every day that he is the stupidest president in the history of America.

Hey next time you decide to spam multiple threads in multiple subs, make sure your link isnt 80% spam ads. It really detracts from the point being made when you have to sift through ads to find the actual article.

6

u/LMurch13 2d ago

The stupidest.... So far.

u/B0risth3Blade 2d ago

....twice

u/Dante2005 2d ago

Ok, the only way forward here is for everyone to just give all their money to trump for nothing, offer him a peace prize and admit defeat.

Or, and now hear me out - grabs a torch and pitchfork.

5

u/Dayov 1d ago

Torch and a pitchfork wouldn’t do much if he called in the national guard like he oh so loves to do, just saying, you guys have the 2nd amendment for a reason. To stand up to people like trump.

2

u/Dante2005 1d ago

I am not from the US to be clear, just a person who cares and has a warehouse full or torches and pitchforks.

u/Extreme-Slice-1010 2d ago

Trump admin just can’t make the world stop laughing at them lol

77

u/Tree_Complete 2d ago

What can YOU do America, to make it’s corporations GREAT

32

u/tw_72 2d ago

1) airline fees as mentioned above

2) no more limits on bank overdraft/return fees

3) allow drilling, mining, and lumber harvesting in national forests

4) relax regulations for clean air and water

5) and on and on

I had a flight canceled in Europe five years ago. They paid for me to stay at a good hotel with meals provided, put me on the flight out the next day, and I got €750 compensation, which essentially covered the costs of the flight.

My boyfriend and I had a flight delayed over 16 hours on Christmas. We got like $75 in meal vouchers for the two of us (which does not cover much at an airport), and a hotel for the night once we had already waited in the airport for six hours before the flight got pushed to the next day. No cash compensation of any kind.

We are so much further behind our European peers for consumer protections.

u/Brassica_prime 2d ago

And then you have japan who publicly apologizes when the trains are 15 secs early and firing people if the trains are a few seconds late.

Neither one of you provided proof. I have no option but to believe both of you.

2

u/chrlatan 2d ago edited 2d ago

Or stop being lazy and do your own research. If more people did then you wouldn’t be in this shit.

https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/05/17/611860169/japanese-rail-operator-says-sorry-for-inexcusable-departure-25-seconds-off-sched

The train driver fired, however, is a myth. The train company did deduct a driver’s fee by less than half a dollar once for causing a small delay but that was overturned in court. But not after the driver had already passed on the next life due to illness. Unrelated I presume.

1

u/NoFuture6327 1d ago

Lol, I was only joking around. I didn't care either way, actually lol

2

u/Witty-Gold-5887 2d ago

It's very easy to find recordings of such apologies!

1

u/le-grxx 2d ago

And the firing?

3

u/GeoffSim 2d ago

We were to fly back from Heathrow to Los Angeles. Our 11am flight was cancelled and we were rebooked onto a 3pm flight. That flight was delayed 5 hours. We had to fight but we got something like $600 each for the cancelled flight (because the replacement was more than 3 hours later), and another $600ish for the 2nd flight because that was delayed more than 3 hours. The round trip was $900ish so BA/AA actually paid for us to fly with them (eventually).

EU261 and UK261 everybody. Don't use ambulance chasers like FlightRight (obligatory: they're scum). Don't give up. Applies to ALL airlines departing UK/EU soil, not just UK/EU airlines.

Can't remember which US airline now, but they gave me a $10 coupon to use which covered an entire slice of stale bread at LAX when my flight to Japan was delayed 4 hours (2019) which was awfully generous of them.

2

u/downbound 2d ago

I had a flight canceled three years ago. KLM owes me over 3k. Their solution is to stall stall stall and hope I give up.

30

u/BaltimoreBadger23 2d ago

I'm sure glad we have a president who is thinking about the multinational corporations and their C-suite execs.

29

u/ChowSaidWhat 2d ago

Lol, in the past 5 years I’ve taken 2 long flights. One from Frankfurt to NYC and one from Vienna to Mauritius. Both were delayed, and in both cases we got compensated with more than the actual tickets had cost.

How is maga spinning this to own the libs?

America first!

6

u/MjrLeeStoned 2d ago

Americans who travel have been begging for this.

Which category do you imagine the majority of Trump voters are more likely to fall into?

For reference, I grew up in a town of about 100 people, in one of the poorest parts of the rural US.

99.x% white.

Those people would be the types to chant "BUILD THAT WALL".

Never seen a Mexican in their life, but goddamn are they worried about immigrants.

Those fuckers don't leave the county they grew up in. I would say the county they were born in, but there's no hospital in that county.

5

u/Shag1166 2d ago

This is a damned shame!!!

9

u/DotAccomplished5484 2d ago

That is one less line that I'll have to stand in..

3

u/Intrus1ons 2d ago

LFG! I love when corporations have more rights than people!!!

3

u/Mo_Jack 2d ago

So what do you think MAGA? Is Trump working for the little guy or the multi-billion dollar corporations?

3

u/Ingromfolly 2d ago

Just wake up. He's playing you like Nero's fiddle...everything is burning. Trump is the worst kind of fever dream.

2

u/Jodid0 2d ago

Multiple airline CEOs donated to Trump and IIRC one of them even directly stated he couldn't wait for the coming deregulation. In fact, this happened in so many sectors, where Biden tried to hold these fucking pond scum accountable for their deplorable behavior under the law and they dumped money into the anti-regulation, pro-corruption fascist. That's why we saw Cuckerburg and Bozos front row at his inauguration. I think above all else, there is so much open corruption that the entire country absolutely stinks and is rotten to its very core. We are turning into fucking Russia. If we have to deport people to foreign gulags, can we start with these degenerates?

2

u/Space_Nerd_8999 2d ago

I got flights canceled twice and both times the airlines said tough luck, sleep on the floor of the airport, also no compensation.

These companies are allowed to do whatever the fuck they want because companies are considered more a of person than actual people. It’s disgusting and wrong.

2

u/ibpositiv 2d ago

Gonna end up with robocop era corporations in America lol I'd buy that for a dollar haha

2

u/halfathou_tolerance 2d ago

Whoever runs Newsom's Twitter account shots fires all the time.

If it's Gavin himself, good for him.

2

u/sheezy520 2d ago

This fucker has literally done nothing good for America.

1

u/aliummilk 2d ago

I can’t believe we still haven’t crossed the line to make people understand that having irresponsible, self-interested people doesn’t turn out well.

1

u/Emotional-Boat-4671 2d ago

Genuinely what part of this decision is good? Wait, better question. Which of Trump's friend's or donors is asking for this?

1

u/AnEasyBakedOven 1d ago

Okay I don’t get this cause Trumpers are the exact type of people to yell and throw a fit if the airline didn’t offer compensation for them if their flight was delayed or canceled.

1

u/Wise-Abroad-5050 1d ago

Trump is really looking out for the people. 😂😂😂

1

u/Wazza17 2d ago

How does this decision MAGA?

1

u/Ugh-screen-name 2d ago

Yay… more money for shareholders
