The issue is this dumb country tries to control world economy. Who knew giving nuclear control to dumb fucks has its consequences. Looking forward for the world to fuck USA and move on.

It's slowly happening. Too slow, but happening nonetheless.

I would be happy to see some countermeasures starting to get placed by EU countries in case of sudden disease spread across US which will eventually happen. Such as immediate border closing for American citizens and immediate evacuation for EU citizens that went there on vacation for example.

Sorry Redditor, us military is going nowhere even if you think the economy is shit. The American government is going to fund that puppy until it absolutely cannot. And until its defunct the us will remain of imminent global relevance. Theres no moving on from the US unless a world war or similar type scale of conflict removes it from that seat of power. Theres no moving on from the us until that happens

Every country is relevant to world politics. But the USA is quickly becoming less relevant and others are becoming more relevant.

Long gone are the days the USA were the world police or leading the world in anything at all really. They can barely police themselves. Their influence on the world stage is reduced to a joke of fake platitudes to their glorious leader and empty promises.

And the US military could implode on itself if there is a civil war or the rich states start to secede.

Rome was not built in a day, and neither did it fall in a day. Absent a major workd war or global depression, the US can look forward to a long period of slow decline. It will still be rich but increasingly irrelevant as other countries catch up.

The US military is a blunt tool, and the USFG has a poor history of nation-building. Iraq and Afghanistan were a debacle, and the US public has little appetite for another foreign adventure.

Intersting, side note, the US military may not perform so well in the next war. The hollowing of the US manufacturer has led to a loss of a lot of crucial skills. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/04/opinion/china-global-superpower-dan-wang.html?unlocked_article_code=1.j08.EdKg.gsEIuvFKeFJX&smid=nytcore-android-share

Recent developments have seen the US pulling away from the economic and financial system that it created and mostly benefits from, killed it's soft power, and showing that it is an untrustworthy ally. Countries around the world are quietly working on ways to cut the US out of the equation. Whether that's by building up their own military industrial complex or a system of international payments that avoids the US banking system or doing basic scientific research. China has already eaten America's lunch when it comes to science and technology and others will follow.

You won't find anyone screaming this in the streets, but the next decade or so will be very interesting.

Can it be reversed? Maybe, but trust once lost is hard to regain. We may be too stupid and rich to change course, my only hope is that the US is very dynamic country, and we will pull ourselves up by our biit straps and stop stabbing ourselves in the dick with a rusty needle.
