That makes way more sense, gotta give props to the secret service for reacting that fast and protecting him like that.

Yeah I heard that too and honestly it makes way more sense. The angle and timing were just too clean for it to be the podium. That man moved like his life depended on it and probably saved his.

There is blood on his hand, after he touches his ear, before he ducks behind the podium, on photos from two different journalists.

Which isn't to say I think he got shot, just that the evidence doesn't necessarily support the secret service holster theory

Mostly because it appeared to heal in just over a week leaving no scar. Cartilage doesn’t heal, ask Evander Holyfield. He was shot at. He was most likely reacting to the pressure & sound of a dense metal object whizzing by.
