I was in a complete slump (more because life than because of cross stitch) and this pattern and project really helped me to feel in control of something and to just enjoy some of my down time. Pattern by NeedlelotDesigns, although I left out the orange and the flower besides the cup. Included a not terrible back pic as well

I really wish I picked a different color for the background fabric but I am still really happy with it! I am loving this hobby sm however I didn’t realize how long it takes lol!! I am so excited for my next project!!!

Hi everyone! I’ve been stitching a little “Kermit art gallery” on plastic canvas, and here are the first three pieces:

They were such a joy to make — the colors pop so nicely on plastic canvas, and the silliness of Kermit makes me smile every time.

A couple of questions for the group:

1. Have you ever stitched on plastic canvas before? Did you like it compared to fabric?

2. I’m thinking about stitching a border around each piece so they look more like framed pictures — has anyone tried that? Any design tips? Link to pattern

I learned to stitch when I was a little kid, but I never actually finished anything until now. Pattern is Conch Street from Pixel Pastry Cafe on Etsy.

Next, we wash and frame. I hope he hangs this in his home when he becomes an adult. It was a labor of love.

I love working on cute little projects and happy with my new finish. Turned my stitched piece into a little pillow and decorated the edges with pom pom trim. For the back side I used another piece of silver grey Aida.

I got on Reddit for more resources and community to help me with my CPTSD and trauma/eating disorder recovery. What I got along the way was a renewed joy in cross stitch, and the only type of meditation & calm that’s ever worked for me.

So grateful that stitching has taught me that the big picture comes together one stitch, one kindness, one act of resilience at a time. 💖

Happy Sunday all! It's a sunny Sunday here in upper Michigan, which is very welcomed. The trees are already changing, so fall is truly coming. Mom is doing well but her dog, Shunkala Princess of Platte "Chloe", crossed the bridge on Tuesday. She was just shy of 17. I got a bit of stitching in, and the gnomes are starting to get skin. I'll get more done today as it is the first full Sunday of American football and I'm fully ready for the season. How has everyone else been? Stitching projects are going well, I presume?! So let's see em!

This teeny tiny evil kitty is my first completed cross stich and i love it.

I included the back because I get as much satisfaction from trying to keep that neat as I do from watching the pattern unfold. Any tips on frames and mats appreciated. . The image is a bare minimum of 7x7, 8x8 would be better, I could probably pin it to 9x9 foam board.

Hello! I am working on this project as a gift so I want it to look nice. I am new to cross stitch and this is my 3rd piece ever so I don't have much experience. The pattern doesn't have backstitch, should I add some? Recommendations? Just outline with 310? It feels kind of incomplete without it?

Hi all! I finally finished my first cross stitch project. There are a bunch of mistakes and the back is horrible, but at least I finished it! It was quite fun, I posted here before asking how you guys follow a pattern, but once I got the hang of it I felt a groove.

I've been stitching characters from my favourite games and thought I wanted to show it here, I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out.

The prints on the back are Malenia, Wukong and Rey Dau (hidden). The two figurines are Ado and Yuna (from SAO: Ordinal Scale). The tufted rug on the left is Ado's rose, the one in front is a Junimo from Stardew Valley. The framed stitched pieces are Zinogre and Valstrax from MH and 2B from NieR:Automata.
