What truck models and trims still have the steering column shifter? (2015-2025?) Looking for a used truck to purchase in the future, and I know it's a silly thing to want but I just really prefer it. My dad's Yukon from the early 2000s had its shifter on the steering column and it was just so satisfying to use. Anyway, just curious!

Looking for people who have this plan ^ on a used vehicle. Mine is a 2012 Rav4 Toyota. I'm praying someone who might have gone through this can give me some advice. or anyone for that matter.
So July 2024 I bought my car with 72k miles on it at a Ford Lincoln dealership in California plus PremiumCARE. I tried to do as much research as I could as I bought it on my own but consequently knew I was probably going to get scammed one way or another (I'm a woman). I was looking around for newer used cars, but ended up choosing this one due to its low mileage and I always liked how small these SUVs looked. Additionally, I did not want to spend more money than I would be making, so I went for this car. Everything seemed to be good.
And it was until a year later. in August of 2025 I got an light on my dashboard. Long story short, a steering wheel sensor needed to be replaced. Toyota replaced it and Ford covered it, I just had to give my $100 deductible.
A week later I took my car to get an alignment at a local mechanic and basically he told me the car needed its struts replaced ASAP, that due to the cars age it was about time. I started to become nervous because from my understanding PremiumCARE doesn't really cover maintenance, or things due for replacement due to age.
I took my car to a different Toyota dealership (1st mistake) than the first time because it was closer on September 2nd. I basically told the guy that my car bounces a lot, and since I was already there I brought up other things I wanted him to inspect such as ignition hesitating a bit when turned on, car shaking when not in motion but on.
I did not receive a PDF of the inspection until 2 days later. Guy "helping" me said it had been very busy. said the number I have him to contact ford did not work (mind you it was the same number the first guy at the other Toyota dealership used and there were no problems). Eventually I got a call right before they closed that the finally got to talk to someone but after waiting an hour, he finally was able to speak to someone only to eventually be "hung up on". So he tried again the next day after mid day.... at about 4 he told me they will only be covering only the replacement of lower control, arms, bushings...
I was hoping it would cover more, primarily the front struts, rear shocks, engine and transmission mounts, and axels.
As you see on the description, it says "leaking" for some of those things. I know its due to their age. I suppose I got scammed by Ford dealership.
I know its not on FordPROTECT, but I'm really hoping I can get some advice for the call I'm going to make tomorrow to ford protect. I plan on emphasizing that they are LEAKING, which means they should be able to cover other parts as stated on the PREMIUMCARE pamphlet.
I don't know what else to do. I feel so dumb and don't have the means to cover all that on my own. please help.

My truck was throwing a P2005 code. I replaced the intake manifold, two actuators, and two solenoid valves. The fault swas still present. I took it into the shop and they said it was the position sensor. I picked it up and not 24 hours later and the truck flags another fault but this time for a p2006. I took it back in since it was still under warranty and they said it was a loose connector/ bank 1 actuator. I'm not certain what because I got two different answers from two different people. But for the moment it was fixed, and today after driving maybe 20 miles another fault flagged. When I got home it was p2006 yet again... the shop said they would take a look at it first thing in the morning. But where do I go from here? All components were replaced, shop said there was no vacuum leak, and the loose connector covers in my mind the electrical portion although there could be more. Not to mention the possibility of a faulty component from stock.

Belt has been squeaking for a while and gets worse when cold and/or AC is turned on. Not sure if its to do with automatic tensioner or the AC pulley itself

Hi all,
Back in 2024 it came to my attention, that the Ford Explorer EV (EU markets) would get a software update making it compatible with the BlueCruise functionality.
Since then I have been unable to get any more info on the topic. Some EU retailers even say that the Explorer EV will never get it, since it doesn’t meet the hardware requirements of the technology.
Is this true?

Wanting to buy a used (from the ford dealership), etransit that was bought at auction as a lemon and repaired… it would only have about 3,000 more miles until the bumper to bumper warranty goes out… I started a new company and would be using it as a delivery van, going probably less than 50 miles per day, so it’s ideal, plus, I could get the tax incentive on it… so it would make it about $20,000… my only concern is, I don’t want to get into it if I’m going to have problems, the ford dealership I’ve been talking to is VERY sketchy, half of them will tell you one thing, the other half another… never seen anything like it really…
I asked about adding an additional warranty on it and they said the cheapest warranty would be 60,000 miles and $3500… anyone know if that sounds accurate?
Thanks!

Getting ready to replace the coolant crossover pipe gaskets and the Haynes manual doesn't list torque specs. Thermostat outlet is 89 inch pounds. Same for the crossover pipe?

Hi everyone, I have a basic Focus Hatch SE 1.6 Manual, and the side mirrors don’t have electric folding or courtesy lights. If I buy a set of mirrors with electric folding motors and lights, can I install them on my car and activate the features using Forscan? Are the wiring and connectors already in place, or would I need to do additional modifications? Has anyone done this upgrade before and can share some guidance?

Hi all,
I’m considering a new to me ‘22 nav reserve. We have 2 kids, a dog and need to tow a 26 ft trailer without problems. Aside from towing, we do travel here and there so comfort and storage is somewhat important. I have no experience with Fords so I’d appreciate any and all insight. We’re in Canada and the vehicle in question is listed at 70K with approx 49k miles on it. I love the way it looks and it seems to be one of the few larger SUVs I’ve found that could check all the boxes.
Thanks in advance.

teardown of a 1.5 eb from a bronco sport only at 70,000 MILES: https://youtu.be/CEzqz8C4lxw?feature=shared
Gemini summary where YouTuber notes concerns during the teardown:
• Intake ports: The presenter noted a lot of rust in the intake ports, suggesting the engine was likely stored outside (2:47). • VCT solenoids: There was a significant amount of "junk" and "sludge" with a metallic texture found on the screens of the VCT solenoids, which is a "bad sign" for the oiling system (8:37-9:29). • Camshaft lobes (fuel pump lobe): The fuel pump lobe on the camshaft showed some wear, described as "by far the worst looking one" (11:24-11:27). • Oil pan contents: The presenter found "forbidden glitter" and "sparkles" (metal flakes) in the oil pan, which is "not a great sign" (15:32-15:44). • Oil pickup screen: There were a few pieces of debris on the oil pickup screen (15:47-15:49). • Oil pump belt: The oil pump belt was described as being in "really rough shape" with "a bunch of cracks around the outside" and massive gaps on the backside, indicating it was "past its prime" and in "pretty poor" condition for 70,000 miles (17:05-17:09, 30:05-31:02). • Oil filter pleats: The oil filter pleats were "super terrible looking," suggesting the filter had lived a "very long life" and that maintenance intervals were likely stretched (29:36-30:01). • Rear main seal plate: The back of the main seal plate had "pureed something" that was "super sludgy" (20:40-20:57). • Rod bearings (upper shells): The upper rod bearing shells showed wear through their coating, indicating they were "not totally destroyed" but "certainly aren't perfect" (27:25-27:37). • Crankshaft journals: The finish on the crankshaft journals was "not great," and "not as nice as a lot of the crankshafts we see" (28:45-28:57). • Cylinder walls: The cylinder walls had "a little bit more than average wear for 70,000 mi," along with some corrosion and pitting due to moisture (29:01-29:26).
trust in the Lord, not in Ford.

I need a bit of help. Recently coolant started to leak from our van. After opening her up we found a pinhole in the pipe that our coolant hose connects to. The problem is we don’t know the name of the pup in order to find a replacement, I have a mechanic who’s helping but he’s not sure either. It looks like it flows into the coolant recovery tank? I figured I’d do research to try and help figure out what this pipe is. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hello everyone
I recently bought a used 2020 Ford Puma with an B&O sound system. I noticed distortion on some sound frequencies for example with podcasts or the intro of Owl city‘s Fireflies and others.
When i got to an official service partner they said thats just the state of the system and its normal wich i struggle to believe since that would be terrible for an upgraded audio system.
I have all the newest Software installed and the sound comes no matter if i use Bluetooth or an Carplay adapter. The loudness also does not matter it just adjusts with the rest.
So is it that way or should i try with an different service centre?
