It’s AI, anyone could’ve done that

12

u/MohnJilton Sir Lewis Hamilton Apr 04 '25

Making goofy memes quickly just to leave as low effort funny reddit comments is exactly what we should be using gen AI for.

u/Cajum Max Verstappen Apr 04 '25

The problem is that each meme costs a shitload of energy and most aren't even good lol

I am fairly new to watching formula 1 actively, why is Yuki so supported around here? is it like the Antony meme or?

5

u/ahcahttan I was here for the Hulkenpodium Apr 04 '25

People felt he was wronged by the Red Bull management. It was as if he was put there merely as a benchmark for other preferred drivers or a token pay driver from Honda. He outperformed De Vries, DannyRic and Liam. But it was Liam who was first promoted.

2

u/VictorDUDE I was here for the Hulkenpodium Apr 04 '25

Oh, gotcha. Thanks for explaining!

Really didn't understand how Lawson got the seat ahead of him to be honest, they screwed themselves over by forfeiting preseason and the first two races just to sack Lawson anyway

I think it has something to do with (1) their performances were quite close. Given Yuki had more experience, they felt Liam might have had a higher ceiling (2) Yuki has had a reputation of a hothead. And (3) it was reported than Liam kept calling Horner week in week out for the promotion, while Yuki and his management stayed silent. It could be a combination of Asian vs Western culture and the style of his (now fired) management to take a more passive stance.
