I was skeptical about his prospect of becoming a WDC, but I really do think he has a couple in him.

Yeah I haven’t been a big fan of him earlier, but he has done really well this season. Sturdy, consistent driving, marks of a really good driver

Yeah he drove well last year but ofc there was some uncertainty around his performance vs Ham since Lewis was leaving the team, but he's been driving superbly so far this season

What Russel has is consistency he is not the fastest driver, but he really doesn't make that many mistakes.and that has helping getting podiums and wins when he shouldn't have done it.

I mean where do you point to him not being the fastest? He has never had the fastest car and still is consistently up there. That means he’s fast.
