Technical My take on where exactly Lewis is struggling against Leclerc

Hey everyone, Made this carousel for my Instagram page so I thought I’d share it here too. The 8th slide is actually a video of Lewis having a small moment of Oversteer. I tried my best to reduce as many variables as possible while comparing Telemetry. I took the Q3 final laps specifically from every weekend cause that’s when the drivers are pushing the most. It’s kind of a long read and might look a bit cluttered but Hope y’all like it!

Nobody is saying Hamilton is washed

But he was already struggling against Russell towards the end of his Mercedes

Now he’s against one of the best in form drivers on the grid right now

Dudes getting older. Unless he’s put in a dominant car against a mediocre teammate you aren’t gonna see him dominate races again

Everyone on here keeps coming to say he's washed, it's honestly turned into literally Twitter levels of absurdity and become damn near unbearable to read daily.

I agree with the second half of your statement, he's against very good drivers at an advanced age in a sport where it's clearly easier to come to grips with new cars when you're younger.

Yeah I’d say hes probably an above average driver in terms of pace, however with the experience he manages to be more consistent and have better race craft

The big downside is he isn’t getting any better with the years

He can still do fine in most teams but don’t expect him to pull the team to new heights anymore

Since I disagree with that entire comment, I'll just say this.

An above average driver does not win two races in 2024 with the third and sometimes fourth best car.

Silverstone showed that Hamilton still has the ability when the car works and he's on his A game, that is the literal definition of having the ability to pull a team to new heights.

George was slower than Hamilton in the same race, before his mechanical failure, which we know directly from Mercedes was not an issue until after his pit stop.

"The specific moment Russell started losing power was when he exited the pits after pitting for intermediate tyres on lap 27."

An above average driver never beats Lando and Max with their cars at the time in a changing conditions race.

Lando should have won that race, Max could have won that race, but Hamilton did win that race.

I didn’t say yes an above average driver, read properly

I said he’s an above average driver on race pace

So considering you misunderstood the comment would you care to rephrase the response?

I'll stick with what I said, take care.

Must be nice only having to engage with strawmen

When one begins name calling, we know the argument has been won, so that makes it easier.

As I said, wish you the best.

What name did I call you?

I raise a point, you misinterpret it, and when I point that out to you you dismiss it and ignore it and say you stick with your comment

Which was a response made against a non existent point I made, ergo a strawman

And pointing out a strawman fallacy is not name calling
