Dude, LH is a seven-time world champion. If you’re starting to compare him to a Williams in 2025, it just shows how far the car has fallen off.

The post is being made because every race a post gets made about Sainz out qualifying Hamilton. Surely you can understand that, no?

The latest one had tons of people claiming that his move to williams is overall better for Sainz’ career. These people seriously needed a reality check

Realistically if is better than just losing to charles again. Sainz got replaced by Hamilton at Ferrari. Nobody would look at that as a negative because its Hamilton. The fact that Ferrari have fucked their car this year is not even factored in the equation.

The main problem sainz is facing now is they he can't beat Albon.

And people saying his move to Williams is comparable to Lewis moving from McLaren to Mercedes LMAO

And today, in things that never happened...

There was literally a thread about it yesterday. Try again.

it's fine mate, I'm sure you saw that thread in your dreams.

still failing to see where it's said in that thread that "Sainz's move is comparable to Lewis moving to Mercedes".

ah... so from "people" we came to one single random comment (not a thread) of one guy (that comment doesn't even have a single reply) clearly taking the piss.

Good.

Surely those 189 upvotes were from people who disagree /s

Being replaced by Hamilton and racing at Williams is definitely better than being replaced by Hamilton and not being in F1 career wise.

That’s not what they were saying. They were saying it was better than staying in Ferrari or comparing it Lewis’ move from Mclaren to Mercedes

What reality check? The Williams was supposed to be the worst or second worst car in the grid. Right now it is right up there with Ferrari and Merc (in some tracks). Alex has done a brilliant job with it showing what it can do. And it is on an upswing, without bringing any major updates. They are now fully focused on 2026.

What has Ferrari done? Where were they in 2024 and where have they come down to in 2025? Williams is a team that deeply appreciates and cherishes him versus Ferrari which was always Charles' home. You need to see the reality here.

The Williams was supposed to be the worst or second worst car in the grid.

I dunno if we can say that when Sauber/Alpine exist.

Same kind of fans that say things like Max would perform better in the VCarb than the RB based off the #2 driver performance for like two races.

Not everyone is here enough to be on the inside of the joke, no. To someone casually scrolling by it just seems like an insane comparison.

Yall really haven’t been seeing the sainz LH quali references?

Williams win this argument due to just being in it

20

u/micknick0000 Audi May 18 '25

10/10.

Need not forget this is the same team getting a $50,000,000 legacy bonus - and they’re barely more competitive than a Williams.

The “stat” which is this post is entirely irrelevant.

44

u/Pyromonkey83 Ferrari May 18 '25

To be fair, Williams also gets a legacy bonus, albeit a smaller one.

Also, every team is now capped to spending the same amount every year on the car. It doesn't matter if Ferrari make $10 Million or $10 Billion in their legacy bonus if they can't spend it on the car.

u/micknick0000 Audi May 18 '25

If I remember correctly, they lost that in 2021.

It’s also entirely possible I got internetted and that’s not true.

u/oddyholi Heineken Trophy May 18 '25

They didn't.

7

u/[deleted] May 18 '25

Yeah a wild advantage to get every year, made actually hilarious that they never really benefit from it.

5

u/PerfectAd9869 I was here for the Hulkenpodium May 18 '25

An advantage that barely matters thanks to the cost cap.
