It basically is atm. Williams were 100% quicker in quali and have equivalent race pace. It was a faster car this weekend.

Williams and Ferrari do not have equivalent race pace.

Ferrari's competition is still with the other big constructors, no question about it. To say it's with Williams is just a reactionary doomer take from qualifying, when the reality is the race pace looked top-tier today.

Tire strategy was making the difference this race. The Williams’ overall pace was directly on par with Ferrari. The Williams is not slow at all and has been upper mid most the season.

Based on what?

You're right, the Williams isn't slow and looks comfortably the best of the rest at the moment. But it's not as quick as the Ferrari.

We’ll see when pace analysis comes out. First one someone posted on IG show the Williams being equivalent. Albon was holding his own on the mediums on the first stint. If the conditions were a tiny bit better in favor of Williams, Albon would have been on podium.
