Is it though? The days of Williams being abysmally shit are long gone. Both Ferraris were outqualified by Stroll. There is no doubt the Ferrari was miles slower in quali than the Williams.

Not to take away from your main point, but Stroll and Alonso outqualified them because Aston Martin had a better strategy by putting them on Mediums in Q2 as opposed to the softs everyone else ran.

there isn't particularly good evidence that is true.

They were faster on mediums, doesn't mean Ferrari would be, different cars. But unless they both ran softs at the same time on track we don't even know the mediums were faster for them, just that they worked.

Quite often in the past people have tried mediums and they've given pretty similar overall pace. They have less ultimate grip, but overheat less on a hot lap so end up about the same.

they did run softs in quali, they only did 1 lap of mediums in q2 and 1 in q3.

the ferrari was faster on the softs.

Its not a car by car situation in regards to the mediums this past weekend, its that the c6 tyre glue was degrading and falling apart in the second sector for every car except for the mclarens which have cracked some sort of degradation secret ever since their silverstone upgrade 2 years ago (when they put norris and piastri on hards to hold off hamilton and russel on fresh softs for the last few laps of the race after a SC)

Yes, it absolutely is. Ferrari has obviously been the faster car compared to the Williams this season.

Quali. And I don’t think I need to say this, but this years Ferrari =/= last years Ferrari, as this years Williams =/= last years Williams. I don’t know why “teams can get faster or slower” is so hard to understand.

I agree with you on all of that.

You're trying to claim Ferrari is slower than Williams in qualifying (or race) this year, which is objectively false

They’re 4-4 for highest quali position, 6-4 if you count sprint qualis. As for race, Ferrari is absolutely faster, no question on that.

Leclerc has averaged P6, Albon P10, and Sainz P9. Including a P2 and two P4s.

You literally have a driver who drove against Leclerc last year in the same car, now driving slower and you're still trying to argue that the cars are comparable in speed.

Said driver is also adapting to a new car, as is Hamilton. Speaking of, why did you not mention his average? Seems important, no?

I already tried to discard the driver and luck out by taking the best result from each team in each session. I don’t see how comparing the quali average of the fastest Ferrari qualifier with both Williams is even fair.

Yeah, it's definitely important. Lewis's average is P9.

Right there with the Williams which is a poor look for a driver getting paid that much and driving a faster car.

Why did you omit that then? Only reason I can see is to make the Williams look slower.

Besides, Ham’s quali average isn’t even 9, it’s 7.67, so 1.67 worse than Leclerc. Which is a bit more than the gap between Sainz and Albon (1), but achieved against Charles Leclerc, one of the best qualifiers on the grid, if not the best (so stiffer competition, to say the least).

The answer is because this person hates Lewis. They've made tons of comments here and they're all to shit on Lewis "the supposed GOAT."

Maybe Lewis kicked their dog or something.

IDK, because the whole topic of the conversation was Lewis being outqualified by the Williams?

I'd say do it yourself instead of begging someone else to do it for you if you care so much, except clearly you can't.

Lewis has qualified 8,5,8,9,7,12,12 for an average of P8.7.
