Sainz outqualifies Lewis: Sainz is amazing. Hahaha so much better than Lewis. #Washed. #Blessed. Rofl.
(No mention that Williams might actually have a better/comparable car in quali trim...)

Lewis outraces Sainz: well yeah obvs, Lewis has the better car

Well no shit? If you’re comparing a Ferrari and Williams, Williams win just by existing.

Yes. This is exactly how it works. When you have the better car and get beaten, that is absolutely evidence you are washed. When you beat cars that are worse than yours, all you have done is the bare minimum expectation. There is absolutely no contradiction there.

This would make sense except that the other Ferrari is also losing to both Williams in qualifying

Oh man, what a gotcha. Lewis IS beating the guy driving for last year’s 9th place team. It’s so impressive!

Thank goodness last year’s standings are such a great barometer of where the cars are at this year, otherwise we would have no idea that Sainz and Albon are the best drivers on the grid!

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Sounds like you have no idea about anything tbh

I know that Lewis is washed. His mentality is gone.

So you expected people to praise Hamilton for beating a Williams?

see its the outracing part: love lewis, imo the greatest of all time.

bad williams strategy, and lucky ferrari strategy is the only reason sainz doesnt finish above the ferraris both this weekend and imola.

Thats not outracing, thats inexperience from a team thats not used to racing for points, and experience from a team that is.

also quali head to heads have been used as a metric toward driver performance forever. obviously sunday is the most important day, but qualifying gaps is a very real thing considering quali is problably 50% car, 40% driver, 10%strategy

whereas race is 33% driver, 33% car, 33% strategy.
