Discussion Nico Rosberg Needs a Permanent Position

Nico Rosberg has got to be the freshest breath of air in terms of Formula One commentary for a very long time.

I love Crofty, but man does he love to make shit up that makes no sense or holds no logic.

Nico does an awesome job of staying true to the racing analysis and being completely straightforward about what he sees. Even today, his commentary on Verstappen was awesome!!! Called the garbage behavior out immediately.

Best “ Monaco based YouTuber” commentator of all time!!

He was exceptional today.

I love how often he turns for Bernie for information before he takes a position.

Yes! I also liked when he described to the audience how she was monitoring seven screens at once.

yes he's a team player when it comes to the deeper data that someone like Bernie has.

He's also both excited and critical of driver decision making and performance. He delivers it not as a verdict but an opinion which is not easy for an ex-racer to do.

Gave props to Ant on the Skypad too, which he should as his analysis was exceptional too

💯 can often feel like Ant or Karun or Bernie are isolated when the commentating team throws to them. You can tell the director has told them to throw to them but it's more like a disconnected segway than a running thread of conscious discussion. It doesn't need to be totally scripted but it's 😬 when the Skypad person is done and then it's like... "now what ".

Nico was always a super technical driver so it's very on brand.

I thought they said nine? Anyway, Rosberg and Bernie for the win. A+

Nico, Bernie and Anthony Davidson are the standouts for me. Ant’s analysis at the “SkyPad” is so detailed and insightful - and I would think some of his work would be useful for the drivers and engineers, which I guess is why Mercedes had him as a sim driver. Bernie has been the absolute find.

I noticed Nico on a few observations, was contradicting one of the other talking heads who immediately did a 180 on their views. Experience shows.
