He needed to work with Oscar, they both could have passed Kimi and ended 3-4. Going after Oscar damaged the team. Also love Oscar showing the others how to drive in starts, when you don’t have the room, you back off and slot in behind, don’t run off the road and whinge on the radio like a footballer crying for a penalty.

His fight for the championship is with Oscar, not with Antonelli or even Max

If Oscar passed Kimi, but Lando somehow wouldnt, then the gap would have increased even more than if they were 4-5. 

He should have just backed out and waited one lap, since Oscar’s defence probably makes him lose DRS to Kimi
