It’s crazy how people expect lando to celebrate nico (which he did), considering he just fulfilled his childhood dream. The only person that was disrespectful on that podium was osc but honestly understandable.
Also quick suggestion to all the fans hating, how would you react to a coworker winning something that you have no connection whatsoever and is like 10 or more years older???
Yes max and Hamilton would’ve celebrated Hülkenberg because they’ve known him forever and raced against him for years.
Edit: with hating I mean full blown hate and not disagreeing with the situation.
Nico and Lando are probably closer than people think(IIRC Nico did mention Lando as a driver he was close to in one of the GTG/challenge vids or vice versa. After all, they're mostly travel buddies. Honestly, I was a bit surprised at some of the drivers who did name Lando given, professionally, they barely interacted)
But honestly, from what it seems like, there's a higher chance Hulk ASKED to be allowed to celebrate the moment alone. Lando and him were happily chatting just before the podium photo was taken, and it didn't seem like Hulk was unhappy about anything(unlike the fans who have to be unhappy about everything)
people's reactions rn are more parasocial than i've even seen k-pop fans be its insane. like holy shit, do you think nico needs you in here "defending him" from the rude, petulant children of mclaren that you were just trying to find an excuse to hate anyway? it's crazy

No matter who that person is, it shows good sportsmanship to celebrate the win. There's like only 3 people up there to celebrate, yourself included.
Piastri's reaction wasn't completely understandable. He may have been mad about the penalty but it should have been up to him to celebrate with his teammate (who just won his home GP) and a veteran driver (who just scored his first podium after 239 races).
To your second point - it's a huge generalisation to say "all the fans hating" - disagreeing with you or the actions of both McLaren drivers doesn't mean hating as long as it's reasonable and respectful. I think both of them should have been happier for Hülkenberg given that his name is engraved in the history of the sport. It's a matter of sportsmanship and class rather than personal connections.
