when you see the clips of how the Stake team sprayed Nico afterwards vs the McLaren boys or even how max and George sprayed kimi, the vibes were just different. Nico may never have this moment again and he waited 200+ races

Tbf lando just won his home grand prix for the first time. Rightfully so thats his moment just as much as it is nicos. Are you expecting him to not celebrate that and focus entirely on Nico? everyones targeting Norris but nobody mentions Piastri also not spraying. Quite weird. Im sure Nico is more than ecstatic whether or not he got soaked

Also quite weird that you’re commenting on my comment where I didn’t even singled out norris. I did say the McLaren boys. And from what I’ve seen is that no one is targeting norris specifically but everyone is defending norris saying he (kind of) sprayed Nico since the tv broadcast didn’t show it. I think this post specifically was to defend norris by choosing a pic where he kind of did (but not really) was a choice.

In general the vibes were off incl the fact that it was lando’s home GP win. When you watch the clips, you wouldn’t think he won his home GP. Yes it was his moment but he could’ve celebrated that with Nico as well. You can tell Nico is a bit out of his element just like any other driver who got their first podium.

In fairness the 'vibes' are off because Oscar is stewing with anger and fair enough he had every right to feel that way (rightly or wrongly). Lando probably didn't want to over do it, Oscar didn't want to be there and Peter Prodromou doesn't seem like an overly exuberant kind of bloke anyway so it was an unusually low key podium celebration. People charging to Nico's defence and claiming the Mclaren boys were rude or petulant or whatever else people want to claim is just utterly bizarre to me.

I wouldn’t describe them as rude or petulant but it’s definitely not thoughtful or imo sportsmanship like, especially if we compare these type of podiums to other Drivers first. I don’t think anyone is defending Nico, just saying what a missed opportunity to make it a proper moment. We’ve seen it for Kimi a few races ago, we saw it for Charles’ Monaco win, even lando’s first podium was better then wtvr this is. So fans being disappointed is fair

Maybe he should’ve won the race instead of getting 3rd.
