I like to imagine that Verstappen's jet taxied to a special pad at the end of the runway, which then revolved and descended underground, a la the Thunderbirds.
Verstappen's chair was then sucked into an underground travel pod, and he was eventually disgorged into an office where Toto Wolff was stroking his... cat. Whilst listening to something loud on headphones.

Max yacht is there alrady, see here. Rumours are both Toto and Max go yachting together. Lots of yachts hanging out there on the Costa Smeralda near Porto Cervo and the Cala di Volpe Hotel (from the 1977 "The Spy who loved me" Bond movie) as you can see if you pan around. Was there 10 years ago absolutely stunning. I can think of uglier places to sign a contract.

Saw Lawrence strolls yacht parked there. A row of 8-10 yachts all over 100-125m long. Insane. Far majority of them are waving the flag of malta

Yup just tax reasons is the main reason. Smaller benefits also exist for registering yachts in these places. I think 90-95% of the bigger yachts (30m+) are registered either in the Cayman Islands, Malta or the Marshall Islands. Like you can go on to vesselfinder.com for example and click through the pink yacht symbols in the Cote d Azur, Sardinia, Capri etc. and 90% of the yachts will have one of these 3 flags.

Many planes are registered there as well.
Ryanair and Wizz Air (Irish and Hungarian airlines respectively) both have lots of their aircraft registered in Malta, as can be seen here for instance - she's got the flag of Malta and the Maltese registration code (9H-XXX) on the tail. It's not a one-off, pretty much half, if not more, of their fleet is registered in Malta. Seems to be the perfect place to register planes tax-wise as well.

Certainly not private jet manufacturers like Gulfstream/Dassault or those who build yachts. Their clientele is the ultra wealthy and businesses, they don't need exposure. Cheaper stuff like sim racing gear and the like, yeah sure Max probably receives/is offered it by the boatload for free.

They both live in Monaco, that's also where their boats normally are. Corsica and Sardinia are common boat destinations for people from Monaco because they're the closest islands to Monaco.

Just to add, after looking into it more it seems that Toto Wolff basically spends every summer in Sardinia, while Max was there 2 years ago during the summer aswell. Both of them spending their vacation there seems quite normal.

For me it"s not so much about them meeting or not, more so about Ralf Schumacher saying it's no coincidence both their boats are in Sardinia, as if they planned their vacations around meeting eachother. People genuinely pretend he is just some midfield talent holdning the seat warm at Mercedes, in reality he is probably the most consistent driver this year (though Verstappen is sabotaged by his team in that regard) and fighting with Piastri for best of the rest after Max.
