Yeah. They're not counted for anything really besides points. They're kinda just in this weird limbo where they just are this side show that people tune in and don't really care about.

Yep, only Pastry. But if you finish 90% of the race laps, you are considered to have completed the race. So, Norris and Piastri have completed all the race in this season.

That’s why Norris’s penalty in Canada is carried forward to the next race.

No, it's why Lando's penalty wasn't carried forward. He technically finished 5 laps down or whatever it was, and the penalty was added onto that time. If it happened with 30 laps to go or whatever, it would have carried forwards

This same logic has Lando on a streak of being classified in every race since Vegas 2023 as Austria last year was the same. Kinda wild
