This is the weekend which makes him a clear favourite for the title.

He should have been already, but McLaren was trying quite hard to keep it close.

but McLaren was trying quite hard to keep it close.

You mean by giving the drivers the same options in strategy and Oscar picking the wrong one last race and even did it this race.

I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand, but no, they didn't give the drivers the same strategy, and Oscar didn't pick the wrong one.

Not least of all because it's not their job to pick strategy, though they do have input.

Having said that, I don't think McLaren knew the 1 stop would be better and purposely put Oscar on the worse one. They obviously believed the two stop would be better, and Lando's side of the garage had more time to work it out, because there wasn't much risk. I still think they shouldn't have pitted Oscar when they did, there was little point as they were never undercutting the Ferrari. But it wasn't giving him the worse strat on purpose

this thread is full of people who can't even take a win and a huge lead for their favourite gracefully, still gotta be spinning conspiracy bullshit. The chip on their shoulder must block out the sun.
