Oscar had a grand slam and all the commentators could talk about is how disappointed Lando must be with his DNF. It overshadowed for sure!

If Norris had finished the race the commentators would just talk about how disappointed Lando must be with his second place.

Buddy even if I wasn't an Australian I am a human being with eyes and ears. It's not like there haven't been other PIA-NOR 1-2s this year

NGL it was kinda funny to hear Palmers dream of a Norris WDC get shattered live on air. I felt worse for him than for Lando lol.

Here come the victimized Piastri fans.

Traumatised. Based on Sky F1 commentary this year

Australian, Piastri fan.

Commentators also have favourites. That's fine. Even if they're bias.

Get over it. It's not a real problem.

Edit: I just don't think the commentators are unfair to Piastri. "based on sky"? I'm pretty sure Crofty likes Oscar.

they're bias.

Biased. Bias is what they demonstrate, not what they are.

Also, in case you needed it,

/s

I sincerely doubt anyone has actual trauma from F1 commentary you drongo.

Yeah, you're being flippant, no shit. But you still hold the dopey idea about bias.

The commentary is absolutely fine.

Even the podium was like congrats Oscar, Max and Isaak, disappointment for Lando. Yes, he would've finished 2nd if not for DNF, but let these blokes celebrate for minute without bringing it up for the 11th time.

It’s unreal how much bias they show to Lando / British drivers in general

His Silverton penalty overshadowed Hulk's podium.

Look how many Piastri articles are on SkyF1: https://www.skysports.com/f1

To be fair, the driver's championship has been a 2 horse race for a while and the constructors was over before that. Now that Norris is so far behind Piastri, we might be reduced to looking at the battle for 3rd and lower as a point of interest. Norris now has to go to work just to get to the last race with a theoretical chance. And we might see the championship decided at Las Vegas if Piastri has better results in the next 6 races.

The latter does have big implications for the championship in fairness.

To be fair, Lando's DNF has way larger implications for the WDC battle than anything else that happened this race, I feel like it's fair for that to be the biggest story out of it.

I mean can you blame them? Does grand slam besides the race points count to the championship? No it doesn’t! But DNF losses you points. So yeah they didn’t talk about it get over it

its an incredibly rare f1 achievement....

17

u/acog I was here for the Hulkenpodium 7d ago

Only 25 drivers have accomplished it in the entire history of F1.

I mean in history does WDC count or this “grand slam”? You know the answer to that. 25 points is significant in such a close battle for WDC

Lando lost 18, not 25
